Door problem... and splash guards

I was installing my mud guards today and happened to notice the passenger door is rubbing on the panel ahead of it, the paint is gone on both panels where it rubs. I've had the car a week and opened the passenger door maybe 10 times. Guess I'll be calling my local dealer in the morning :( it better be covered under warranty...
On a positive note the GM mud guards look great. I bought two universal ones to install in addition with the front ones, just for extra protection from stones/sand on the rocker panels. I'll post pictures in a bit, they don't look too bad but the protection they offer is more important than the looks they have I guess.
Pictures of the door problem and the new splash guards soon..

of course it will be warranty, the panels will adjust to a degree, ask whats the plan they will use to repaint? it should be a "panel job" meaning the whole fender, not a touch up.

Something else to check before I take delivery. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching for pics.

I can't understand for the kife of me, how that car left the plant like that! That is clear as day to see! Did nobody in the plant open the passenger door? That is crazy stuff! Makes me appreciate my "perfect" car even more now.

you'd think you'd feel it, or it'd make a noise or something...

The first picture is looking from the front of the car to the rear at the door, The second picture down is with the door open slightly showing how it rubs looking towards the front of the car, it's really not as bad as the pictures make it look... at least that's what I tell myself.

Thank you. Let's hope you don't have to add anything else. I'm starting to wonder, what are the chances my car is going to come in Fd up? Has anyone had a car delivered that does not have an issue?

The problem is you're reading comments from a forum. This is at maximum 1-2% of the entire user base, and people that don't have problems dont write things up. That's just the way forums work. My car has been impeccable for six weeks and 1500 miles, not a single problem. Build Quality is good, much better than my 2014 Corvette.

But I do believe these problems are real, and QC needs to be a LOT better, but the 16 camaro is not going to Hell in a handbasket , many people have no problems. I also asked my service advisor what she is seeing, she's been straight with me. So far so good
