Power steering went out... less than a month of ownership

I knew American cars weren't known for their reliability. But less than a month: steering wheel stitching coming off, no power steering. Seriously???

Get it fixed, sh@@ happens, this has not been reported so far from anybody else so therefore it doesn't bother me. When 15 people report it, then I'll worry.....

you'll be fine... So far there are very few launch problems.

Stop this nonsense... Everyone knows there has never, ever been a glitch on a foreign car. This only happens on American cars.

I had a Toyota Highlander when they first came out and it was the worst car I have ever had. You name it, it went wrong. Traded it in on a Honda Pilot after a year or so. Hell, I had a 1976 Lancia that was better than the Toyota!

not sure if sarcasm or serious... my detector just broke.

But really, is it any surprise there have been this many issues lately? its the launch year of a new model/generation, and it was rushed to compete with the mustang... this is just the beginning of a warranty battle. seeing all these issues arise is making me consider an extended warranty now.

Very sarcastic... The only foreign car I have ever owned (Toyota) was the only car I have ever had that gave me any major issues, (exhaust went, head gasket went, transmission went, master cylinder went - water pump went - total nightmare).

The only issue i have had on an American car is on my current Jeep Grand Cherokee and the TPMS sensor, which i just ignore because the world survived 90+ years with people checking air pressure the old fashioned way, and i refuse to pay the obnoxious cost to fix it. Maybe i have been lucky, but i tend to think that most American cars are fine so long as you take the proper care and perform the necessary routine maintenance.

It is a first model year so there are going to be glitches, but i don't think the number of problems has been all that bad compared to other launches that I have seen. I do take issue with the delay of Android Auto, but as long as that comes with an update, i will chalk it up to GM not wanting to roll out a problematic system. still shouldn't take this long.

It is sad to say but we didn't buy this car because it would be trouble free and the problems will exist in the second year of production.

Exactly. My Honda is one of those rare outliers. The transmission has been rebuilt twice under warranty.

Should have just bought a Civic... oh wait...

New model year blues. They are not reserved for only American cars. Thanks for being R&D though. It will help mine be more reliable in a few years.
