First post here guys, so hello. I've had a rattle coming from the sunroof right above my head for a few days now and I finally got around to looking at it. Well, I found the culprit. The black plastic trim piece glued to the glass on the drivers side is separating from the glass. I don't believe the piece has any functional purpose other than hiding the mechanisms from view when the sliding shade is open. It appears that the glue holding it to the glass just let go and it pulled away along with some of the black paint. I live in upstate NY where the weather has fluctuated a lot so I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with the temperature changes. I haven't made an appointment yet to get it looked at...I just wanted to make you guys aware to check yours in case this becomes a common issue.

I've always heard a rattle from vehicles with sunroofs, but I'll have to report back if I hear that in mine and check that piece out. Thanks for the heads up! Keep us updated if you bring it in and what comes of it.

FYI, The dealer is ordering a new piece of glass to replace it.

Well the other side popped today in the same way due to the cold temps so check your cars.

That's ridiculous! Haven't had an issue with mine yet not even with the freezing cold temperatures past couple months... I'll be checking it again though before I go in for my handful of issues. Good luck and thanks for the heads up!
