Thanks for the encouragement. I think I will take my chances with a new Camaro.

Also 63falcondude, a '65 6 cyl auto White Falcon Futura coupe was my first car. At 16-17 I transplanted a Winsor 351 and a 4M Top loader into that sleeper. I wish I never sold it. Ford would have never bought back that car.
Awesome, I'm in Toms River. We have a 260 8 cyl champagne 1963 Falcon Futura convertible. Its an auto. Right now its just taking up space in the garage. Frame is sagging.

What kind of problems are you having with the Camaro?

As someone that went through the buyback dance years ago I can only offer this advice:

1) get a lawyer
2) get a lawyer
3) record every conversation, save every piece of correspondence no matter how trivial it may seem. In my case a single white piece of 8.5x11 copy paper sunk the dealership that was screwing me around resulting in them eating the car they tried to run away from and putting enough money in my pocket to get into a better and more important, trouble free car.
4)don't trust a damn thing they say or say they will do because what they say is most likely an outright lie or half truth. And what they say they will do has a slim to none chance of happening
5) if it was me having issues with a a newer ZL1 would I jump into bed with a 16? Absolutely not.

Just my .02

I hear you. But I had two trouble free 5th gens before the ZL1. And the ZL1 just had one problem with stabilitrac. I think buying a car is a bit of the luck of the draw. Buying a first year car is a bit risky, but many on here are doing well with the new Camaro. If I wanted better odds on a trouble free car I would be at the Toyota dealer. Yawn. So I will take a bit of a risk to get a fun car to drive. As for my deal I went right to GM and they made me an offer. There is just one part of the deal that bugs me.

Hoping my issue get's worked out smoothly and quickly. Guess I am a little jaded at the moment after going thru a buyback years ago and my first trip back to a GM product with 159 miles on it is turning into a real crap sandwich. Best of luck getting your issue worked out.
