Barret-Jackson in Scottsdale
I've been watching The Barret-Jackson auction off and on the past few days and have yet to see a 5th or 6th Gen Camaro sell.
I did see a COPO sell with John Forces name on the side, $600,000.00. But no SS, LTs or ZL1s, etc. I wonder why? |

Yeah, been watching as well. 5th and 6th Gen Camaros just don't sell. Newer Mustangs GT 350s and 500s all sell well. Dodge Challenger models do very well also. Camaro just has nothing new/er that is collectable or desirable like the Dodges and Mustangs. Camaro sellers would take a bath, probably less than blue book.
5th and 6th Gen Camaros at Mecum auctions hardly ever make the reserve, and are a no sale. VIN#1 C-8 Corvette is selling today. |

There's one on the docket for tommorow and I think that's it. Agree with above post. Even the few that show up a Mecum don't fair very well.

My buddy Scott bought it. He was texting me right before the Copo came on stage and told me he'd go to 500k, guess he changed his mind. He now has 9 Copo's and 1 Cobrajet but that one is for sale. Magnuson was one of his sponsors last year with our 2650 Ls7 Jackshaft hot rod kit and that's what all the competitive Copo's run. If your still running a Whipple on a Copo your not going to qualify unless its a really short field.

Been watching Barrett Jackson and was surprised when I saw the John Force car, hadn't seen anything else besides gen 1 and 2. I was at the Mecum auction in Kissimmee last Friday and with 3500 cars, my SS in the parking lot was maybe one of 3 gen 5/6 cars...

I watch all the mecums and Jackson’s that are live and new. Those are the ones where you get accurate prices. The live shows are on motortrend first.
