History of Incentives & Pricing for New cars (latest year)
I’d like to buy a new 2020 Camaro, before the end of the year. I know the end of the month is best, if the dealer hasn’t met goals.
Based on history, assuming it repeats itself, would the pricing & incentives for a new 2020 Camaro be better; the end of Oct, Nov, or Dec? Thanks Last edited by Fun; 10-24-2019 at 05:17 AM. Reason: Forgot year. |

I would say if you are willing to travel look for a dealer in a colder climate towards end of december - they will be trying to meet a lot of goals and they dont want inventory sitting in colder months so if they can move it, they will try

OP Buy on Dec 31 or Jan 31. If not Maybe Feb 28-29. Less so in the south. The best deals happen when a dealer needs a sale or two to make a GM sales quota. The dealer will take a loss in a deal to make more on quota incentives. And it helps if the car has been on the lot a few months. When you negotiate a car you will get a better deal the longer it has been on the lot.
Also look for the yearly 20% off Camaro sale soon.

There’s no magic formula, but the end of the month is generally the best time because the dealer is trying to meet sales goals and factory incentives. For my 1LE, it was Memorial Day, because the dealer was in a sales contest with another dealer and one more sale would make the difference in winning or losing. I bought the car when the dealer called me at 10:30 that night, begging for the deal - at more than $7K off the sticker, out the door. I don’t believe there’s ever been a better deal since then around here.
The point is, besides the end of the month, you need to watch the dealers in your area for special opportunities that can pop up any time of the month. |

I bought my new 2014 that listed for $38.9 for $29.3 after the 15s came out in September of 2014. I paid $495 doc fee plus sales and plate charges. Best deal I’ve ever gotten.
I’d like to get a deal like that this time, but haven’t been able to yet. |

According to CarsDirect, Ford just added $1,000 across the board to all the Mustang rebates now in place, so you can get up to $4,250 in rebates depending on model. If you’re in the market for a Camaro, now’s the time to closely watch Chevrolet for new rebate offers.

Chevy’s rebates really aren’t that good this month. You would have to play it month by month until something comes up.
