I like hard top convertibles that maintain a very similar roofline, but the cloth/vinyl does nothing for me. Driving with the top down is pretty nice though. I wouldn’t do it here in Florida though...too damn hot. Air conditioning is the only thing that makes this state livable.

Oh, you will regret it when my super heavy sled smokes you with the top down. You will have a big weight advantage however...

I'll be surprised if you don't smoke me, especially if i don't get in some practice runs first. My last pass down the dragstrip was in the mid '80's on my 1260cc GS1100 suzuki! Last time in a car was earlier than that. I ran mid 13's in a '70 Boss 302 mustang with 4.56 gears. I was into '69 & '70 mustangs back in the day. Believe it or not, i've never run an automatic car on the strip, always stirred the stick. Of course that was on 300 - 400 rwhp cars with no nannies. This car is going to be a whole new experience for me.
You will also be happy to hear that i've got the heaviest possible m6 ss....loaded 2ss complete with sunroof

I haven't been to the track since 2006 or so. I used to take my C5's and I ran 10.2 @138 on my C5 vert before selling and going to a C6. I haven't been back to run since.

I am and have always been a big mustang guy. My dad had a 69Mach 1 (sister has it now). I have been looking at the 2010-2013 GT500's recently.

My brother-in-law and I had the rides out a few weeks ago.

Note: heaviest possible Camaro SS...loaded 2 SS Convertible

IMHO there is no greater pleasure than driving a convertible in Florida during the long 7 month dry season, middle of October thru the middle of May. If you research hardtop convertibles even the most expensive brands are notorious for unrefined squeaks and rattles. Sadly, I discovered this the hard way and it was so bad I couldn’t live with the noise and traded the car after just a few months....
