Question does the 16 Camaro SS have a Flash Counter?

I'm considering doing a tune, but what if I need to go back to the dealership for for something. Can I reset the tune without them realizing a tune was on it before? Thanks in advance.

Yes. If you are that worried about your warranty don't tune it. But remember, even if they see the odd time stamps and such, the rest of your warranty is still in tact. They could void your powertrain warranty if they feel the issue is a result of the tune. You gotta pay to play lol...

Can't you just get a spare PCM? Anyone have an idea on cost?

This ^

Don't do it if you can't repair the cost on your own dime. I won't be tuning my car anytime soon since I don't have 10k sitting in the bank in case shit hits the fan.

Then again, one reason why I got a low - mid 12 second car.. Fast enough where I can leave it stock (For now)!

seems to cost around 200. Not sure what the 8L90 or 8L45 TCM costs or if it's even something that comes separate from the transmission housing.

Usually tunes tend to need to program both if you have an automatic.

You don't have to touch the TCM if you don't want to.

PCM/ECM holds mileage as well. So If you swap it the mileage wont match whats actually on the odometer...

My tuner backs his work and will cover any cost as a result of anything failing. He's double checking with a GM consultant he knows. He's told GM says it does as a scare tactic. He also recommended to wait until he hears back and can also play with the numbers some.

GM could determine you have replaced the ECM.

You do know you can take out your PCM and replace with another or just reprogram it. I have had my car in for service and nothing was said. Here is my PCM out of my car.
