Same situation here. Minus the extra 30k lucky bastard. But I'll still be tempted and won't be able to afford it :(

Get a left over/ slightly used 16 ss for a good price in 2017. Or may get a 17 if some new colors/ options are worth it.

Got to pay off my truck... I started making extra payments after the reveal and most of the specs were out

Even with the extra 30k I still probably won't be able to afford it because I'll have a mortgage by then, can dream though lol.

I'm in the same boat, trying to pay truck off asap in anticipation haha!

2SS Fully Loaded, I mean just about every option I can get and going to send it off to ligenfelter as soon as possible.

I'm not up on all the lingo and the codes for the different trim packages but I know I want an SS no sunroof this time never hardly use them don't care about heated seats but I gotta have leather so leather and the best stereo and the MRC manual works for me.

If you want leather and the best stereo you'll need to go with the 2SS. 1SS has cloth and the base stereo, 2SS has leather and the Bose sound system. Then with that also comes heated and cooled seats.

What I'm worried bout is not being able to get the 8" drivers screen on a 1SS.

If I do it'll be a ZL1.

I'm feeling more inclined to just mod the hell out of my SS though and likely get an ATS-V as my new daily driver.

Why not simply get the 1LT?

I like the bells and whistles so I plan on buying a 2SS. If there's a 1LE (or equivalent package) available, I'll add that as well. I'll be looking at 2017 so depending on what the 50th anniversary edition looks likeI may opt for it.

The base 1LT might be the equivalent of today's 1LS/2LS cars.

How about waiting to see the options/pricing before declaring fail. The 1LT 4 cylinder turbo will surely get slightly better mileage than the current 2LS.
