Now the question is, will there be something in the trunk that has to be adjusted prior to the top being allowed to go down? the C7 vette has a small "wall" that folds up to protect the top from items in the trunk.
If the Camaro has the same kind of "wall", will it HAVE to be up for the top to go down? Because the Gen 5 has that "cover" that has to be pulled out & secured otherwise the top won't go down. |

A factory roll bar would be cool as long as it's an option, but I would much rather have this top than a folding hard top. I folding hard top is nice in theory, but they really compromise styling and you end up with zero trunk space. Not to mention it adds a lot of cost. I think the soft top with the power tonneau is the best option out there. This has got to be one of the best looking convertibles I've seen. I think the roofline actually looks much better than the coupe.

I have always been a coupe guy, but this vert looks amazing. Great job GM!

I'd take it one step further and cover the rear seats completely with some sort of tonneau....sort of like what the old T-Birds had....

I was thinking the same thing, I bet ACS could come up with one for it.

Great job GM! Love it. Wheels look awesome too....except they seem to have a bit of a convex shape instead of concave which I do not like as a wheel trait.

Here is the reason why GM should offer one on the 6th Gen, to run my 4th Gen SS Vert, I had to add one to run at Road America, added the Wolfe Racecraft bolt-in chromoly version w/removable cross-brace.
http://roadamerica.midwestdomestics.org/techinfo.html Note under "Items that will be looked at during tech inspection:" All convertibles must have appropriate roll bar

Ouch. Has there been any mention of leg room being comparable to the 5th gen?. I won't be buying a 6th gen for the space but sometimes rear passenger leg room is needed for short trips. |
