Is the fuse pull subject necessary on the LT1?
I remember needing to do the fuse pull trick on my 5th gen SS after realizing the car was filled up with 87 octane after I bought the car. Well, I traded that car in and I now have a '16 SS which I'm pretty sure was also filled with lower octane fuel. So I plan on almost running the tank dry then it'll get fill with the good stuff. I'm wondering if I'll need to do the fuse pull thing if that still applies to the LT1 platform? If so, can someone tell me which fuse(s) need to be pulled?

Not sure if this fuse pull applies, but as an alternative, you could add a few ounces of octane booster to treat the crap gas your dealer filled the tank with.
I use Race Gas when necessary, works fine and no problems whatsoever thus far.

don't waste your time by adding octane booster, it will never get you from 87 anywhere close to 93 that you wanted. depends on how much gas you have left, go get a couple gallons of race fuel. they are like 100 octane. it probably wouldn't hurt to pull the ECM fuse.

Is the fuse pull process the same on the 6th gen cars like the 5th gen? My tank is pretty down to a couple gallons at most. I'm filling up tomorrow with 93.

If you're really worried, you could dump 3 gallons of xylene in the tank and that would bring you close to 93.

Just fill it up with the 93 and drive on! It will be okay!

thats why you have to make a tank of 93 part of the deal and drive the sales person to the station to put it in.

not supposed to be getting on it for 500 miles anyway. let it get very low. just fill ii with 93 then if you want disconnect the battery overnight. you won't lose any of your settings.

Fuze pull was a fix for a software problem that was gone long even before Gen5 ended.

Just fill up with 93, OR just drive it easy until near empty.
