Those figures are derived from "Hennessey math" and his favorite uncalibrated dyno. Listening to Hennessey make claims about what they can do is like listening to those fishing stories people spin to one up each other.
HPE disclaimer a coworker received when his CTS-V HPE700 did no where near what was advertised/promised: Advertised performance is based on dyno of our test vehicle and a driveloss factor of 15% for manuals and 20% for automatics. Acceptable delivery can be within 10% of advertised output. Performance metrics are based on increased output over the stock performance figures of the original vehicle. If you want to trust a shop, they should advertise the minimum rear wheel power & torque increase the customer can expect. This means, using the same dyno and weather, the before and after rwhp & rwtq should increase by at least X. That is truthful advertising. If a shop does 3 identical installs, the lowest increased output should be the figure they use for advertising their wares. |

2.9 seconds, holy shit...so 804bhp = 683rwhp on an M6. I can't wait what my 0-60 time would be LOL.
You have to wonder too about this tuning school of theirs. The first thing I thought of with all the financial trouble they've been in is that their students could potentially be "learning" on customer cars. So the company could be collecting "tuition" while also charging the customer. It's purely speculation but I would seriously not put it past them. If anyone is thinking about sending their baby to this place, you should have your head examined. Their history is well documented if you Google them. About a year ago 5 former employees of their came out and spilled all the beans...and before that there were the Vipers.

I have been massively impressed with all their Youtube videos and actually decided "Hey maybe I'll actually look into how much these packages cost...." then one negative hit/article after another on Google....
Google them ... I was quickly turned off myself by how much negative press there is out there surrounding lawsuits, cars never delivered, using parts from one customer's car for another build...testing things on customer's cars sitting waiting for their build without authorization....that's just some of the things I saw in some of the articles/hits. I'm only passing what I saw myself... just do research before that kind of commitment of dollars. Don't know whats 100% true or not but I prefer to err on the side of caution when it is that much money on the line. https://www.google.com/#q=hennessey+...ance+lawsuit&* |

Damn... Talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul! Sad when you see so much hype on a company and then see a lot of negative press with too.

2.9 sec 0-60 isn't all that fast for a hopped up car. If you plug prays numbers into a calculator it spits out 2.61sec.

I can understand that. My mind always just goes back to the very few sub 3 second cars out there. But then again those were production cars and not modified. Man though.. I've never experienced anything sub 4 seconds. YET!! lol
