Again, Range now officially supports all Camaro! All models/variants up through the 2023 models... They also updated their website.

I got mine this morning and got it installed with a switch/ODO cable. Went for an hour drive and it was V8 the entire time, as expected. No issues!

I like that I no longer feel the transition between 4-cylinder and V8. It was very slight, but it was a weird quirk I didn't care for. Primarily when going from V8 to 4-cylinder (not so much the other way, never noticed). It does seem to have a touch less hesitation when off the throttle (and it would go into 4-cylinder mode) and you gave it the gas. It immediately throttles up with no hesitation outside of the normal.

It's awesome, and I enjoy my job and why I drive (I design hospitals in the Midwest, and visit during design and construction phases).

I sent an email to Range asking them if their AFM/DFM Disabler supports the 2022 Camaro "V6 10 speed transmission". Range's website doesn't show support for all Camaros with AFM.

I have searched the Camaro6 site and haven't been able to find someone using the AFM/DFM Disabler in a 2022 V6.

I'll update this thread either way, after trying to receive a reply from Range Technology.

Been using mine since I got my car in August. Three months and 500 miles. No issues. Works as advertised.

Range Technical Support's response:

Good Morning,

The 2022 V6 is not supported, only the V8.

Thank You,

I will say this.. I ordered one from Phastek after I saw it listed on another parts site as compatible with a '21 auto. I have the 2021 A10 1LE.
I used it for at least 3-5k miles with no issues. I then also installed a JTech (i believe) throttle controller. These both worked together fine for awhile. I then would suddenly get a "engine power reduced" message every once in awhile while driving, and by reduced they mean zero power lol. I would have to coast to a stop. My workaround was to put it in park, turn the engine off, open my driver door, and then start the car again. If I didn't do it in that order the power reduction message was still there. The SE light would remain on for that next drive, with no issues, but disappear on the following drive. I removed both the Range, and the JTech, and took the car to the dealership. They said my warranty was voided due to my aftermarket exhaust, but they also found no current issues with the vehicle except for the code that was thrown each time. The code was for the exhaust valve actuators... when my aftermarket exhaust was put on long ago I remember the exhaust shop saying it may throw a code because this setup did not have the right blockoff plates. I never had the engine power reduced happen though until much later in conjunction with the Range/Jtech.

Anyways, bunch of rambling, just offering observations of my own car.

I may try the Range again in the meantime before my tune bc the worst sound in the world is v4 mode with no mufflers.

I would go to a different dealer, an aftermarket exhaust without a tune shouldn't void any warranty (and it's up to the manufacturer to prove it was teh cause of whatever failure you are claiming under warranty).

IF, GM does void your warranty, then go get the car dyno tuned and sell the Range and pedal commander.

I have one ( updated version) , I used in my 22 SS and in my C7 ZO6, sold SS traded ZO6 for ZL1.
Anyone interested, let me know , just on the shelf collecting dust.
Both cars SS , ZO6 were in for service at Dealership and the Service advisor plugs in a device to the ODB ll port to read system, and no flags or issue with RANGE. Was not detected used .

FWIW , I have been with the same service advisor thru 4 vehicles 22 Blazer our DD, 22SS , C7 ZO6, and now the ZL1, from SA if the part in question is deemed to have failed do to tampering, aftermarket parts, a performance tune , the warranty is not covering the failure in question. I suppose a person can go to another Dealership, but it's all documented from the previous Dealer. Just passing on information.

I agree, and said exactly that. The onus is on the dealer to prove the part caused the failure. But they cannot void your warranty simply for installing an aftermarket part, as some dealers attempt to convince owners.

I respectfully disagree, It's Chevrolets warranty and they can refuse warranty work, if they deem negligence , tampering , or changing of parts or tune . Now going from 1 Dealer to the next and on , finding one that will warranty the repair, after all the previous Dealer visits and documentation , maybe hard to explain. I'm just going on what I've been told per the Service Advisor at my local Chevrolet Dealership , about modifying the car and retaining the Factory warranty.
So for me , I'm not willing to modify the car and then hopping from Dealership to Dealership to finally one willing to honor the warranty .

You can disagree all you want, but it's the law. A manufacturer cannot void a warranty simply because you installed an aftermarket part, the onus is on them to prove it caused the failure in order to deny a warranty claim.
