Mustang does not have AFM/DOD. No reason the Camaro should either. Plenty of videos on youtube about the troubles with AFM. I personally experienced them in a 2008 Impala SS I bought new. Lots of problems after the first two years. Ended up trading in on a Sonic just to get rid of it.

I have had one in my 2019 2SS automatic 10 speed since it was new and no problems. According to their website, it works with 2019 + 2020 Camaros

Also works fine in 2022s as well. Both myself and my best friend are using them. Great product.

The reason the Range AFM disable doesn't work on 19+ Trucks and SUVs but DOES work on Camaros is that the AFM changed on the trucks and SUVs in 2019 from AFM to DFM.

For all Camaros 2016 and up, and trucks/SUVs from 2014-2018, GM used AFM which shuts down the same 4 cylinders every time. DFM does not work like that, it can shut off any cylinder at any time as GM applied to all the new trucks and SUVs.

It's outlined here as well:

So I had asked on FB at Range Technology about the Camaro support... Now some 11 weeks later I got a reply.

"Just to be clear, ALL Camaro through 2023 are supported "

So much like what is stated above, appears Range is now officially supporting the Camaro now!

(Mine arrives tomorrow!)

Welp, as you probably know… AFM wasn’t the root cause of the shudder. So the fact you still got the shudder makes sense.

There are several of these threads and the consensus is the same: the AFM bypass modules work on the new Camaros.

What i haven't seen yet is evidence that the AFM bypass is needed for the newest LT1. Is it just that we haven't seen many cars at 60k+ or is it the difference of an LT vs. LS? I think it's clear that trucks with the LS need the AFM delete because the lifter issues are numerous.

I see the reasons for the AFM bypass as follows:
1. Owners who rarely drive anyway wanting to keep the car in V8 mode for performance reasons, zero concern about fuel usage.
2. Owners who don't like the feel/sound of V4 mode.
3. Owners who are concerned about AFM causing internal engine damage long-term.

As my new daily, I actually enjoy the improved fuel econ while driving easy (which is most of the time). I'll be on a lot of interstate drives with this as I average 20k-30k miles a year (getting paid $0.625 a mile). So the mileage reimbursement pays for the car, which is why I'm not concerned about mileage accumulating. But I'd prefer to not have to rebuild the motor in 3 years either.

The AFM in my 2021 Camaro seemed fine. Nothing like it was on the 2019 C7 that was sloppy.

Regardless, the notorious torque converter shudder is not caused by AFM. There are literally millions of A8 transmissions with AFM out there that work great. Maybe your problem was just a bad converter..

That’s a pretty sweet deal, buying a camaro that’s paid for by driving it.

And, I fit into all three of your noted categories…

Hey ikeLove, I have a 2021 Camaro LT1 6.2 w/10 speed. I’ve been running the range module in my car since new. I now have almost 22,000 miles on mine and have had zero issues. From my understanding since our cars do not have auto/stop start feature like the pickups/SUVS have, it will work flawlessly because the Range module somehow interferes with auto/stop start feature on the 10 speeds. I have a couple friends that also have the 6.2 w/10 speed and they run the range module as well. None of us have had any issues. Well worth it in my opinion.
