Yes, some of us make fair money but these cars aren't cheap by any stretch.
Chevy did a nice job on the power to weight for this car, now lower the side windows.
I get what your saying. Cars aren't inexpensive anymore but the quality is way better. They last twice as long with a fraction of the problems. I once sold my cars when they hit 50k miles and now I keep them to 150k.

The car is truly amazing to drive and I can hardly wait for you to drive one and see what we're talking about.

We're never 'finished' working on Camaro............
Awesome job done by GM and the whole team involved with the Camaro! The 6th gen definitely looks to be a winner!

The RFTs the SS is using are labeled "summer only" so would think they would still have more grip in braking than that. Definitely want to see some more reviews discussions around braking.

It appears to be me if the 6th gen SS is doing laps faster than the 5th gen 1LE, it is because of the better power to weight and not really more grip/better braking.
This should give you some insight. Interesting indeed.

From Autoweek:

"As for braking, the SS stops from 60 mph in 117 feet, the V6 in 124 feet, the turbo four in 129 feet. That's without the optional upgrades. Here the Mustang GT bests the SS, with a distance of just 108 feet, albeit with the optional Brembo package."

Check out the climate control bank above the center vents. It has passenger and driver temperature displays, which would signify dual zone A/C which would make it a 2LT or 2SS.

So you are saying the 1SS should get the base cluster. I got you. It is odd they decided to give the 1SS the 8".

All they are doing is reprinting what GM had. Take a look at GM's official braking number for the 5th gen (and 1LE) and compare them to independent testing. Big difference apparently.

I love it when Fbodfather chimes in from time to time, to help some of those to keep the faith. I've loved Camaro and always will.

So the 1LE official stopping distance from GM is 120ft, yet it stops in MT testing in 99ft.

If that holds true for this car, I can see it getting close to 1LE distances as well.

Like said, GM says the 1LE does 60-0 in 120 feet, tests show it did it in 99.

One month from now, we will see how it stacks up and just how badly it bitch slaps the Mustang.

Just like I thought mid to low 12's the mph is higher than I thought so an 11 is possible.

A 6th Gen is in my future plans
