Here is a video I took of a few pulls recently. I know it wont do much justice and I can confirm its WAY better in person, but maybe it can give you an idea of volume. https://youtu.be/VNR-KKLwjpg

Yours was one of the videos I had seen. It sounds amazing, the pops and crackles are ridiculous

How is it in the cabin when just cruising? Not too loud? Any drone at all?

Do you guys with the AWE Touring exhaust have any drone at any speed? That's something I'm very sensitive to and would be a deal breaker.

Zero drone anywhere with the touring exhaust. Definitely not too loud at all. I actually like to lower the windows and just listen to it, its amazing IMO. It really is the perfect cruising exhaust, quiet when you want it to be, and loud when you want it to be, but never obnoxious.

I'm sure AWE would've sold many more units if they added NPP support, because their exhaust sounds great. As for me, I want my separate, tunable loud and quiet modes, and no, the throttle pedal position should not be the sole input that drives the exhaust.

Amen brother . Even though I don't plan on losing the NPP functionality on mine, I would still like to hear the AWE touring in person.

If there is anyone in the Austin TX area with the AWE touring that wouldn't mind letting me have a listen, that would be great!

Well, I found a great Black Friday deal on the AWE Touring axle-back system and ordered it. I figured I don't use the NPP function and likely will not miss it (always keep it on Track mode anyway).

Couple questions for you guys: Do I just zip-tie the unused electrical connectors to the body somewhere? This won't throw any codes or be an issue? Also, I went with the black tips. How do they hold up and do they need any special kind of care? I had read some complaints about the durability of the chrome tips, but nothing on the black ones.

I can't speak for durability on the tips, but for the NPP connections you can actually buy a plug in that protects it. I just used electrical tape to close up the connections and zip tied them away. I actually just checked on them the other day and they look great.

The only reason you would get a code is if you had the catback which messes with the AFM system on automatic cars, but for the axleback you shouldn't get any codes. If you do, it's a bad welding job and a pretty easy fix.
