The Royal Purple Show It Off at SEMA contest was hosted online on Royal Purple’s Facebook fan page throughout July and August. Over the course of two separate seven-day periods, vehicle owners had the opportunity to submit a photo of their vehicle for the opportunity to display it as a feature vehicle at the SEMA Show. The top five finalists that received the most votes, from more than 30 entries, were chosen by Royal Purple, with the grand prize winner selected by an expert panel of five judges.

“I selected Frank Daniels 2010 Chevy Camaro because this is the prototypical SEMA vehicle,” said judge Mark Fields, who was last year’s contest winner. “With all the over the top modifications like wheels, engine, body modifications, electronics and rear spoiler, it would fit in perfectly in Las Vegas.”

Daniels’ Camarowas selected by Royal Purple’s panel of judges that included:
1.Townsend Bell – TV personality and professional IndyCar and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship racecar driver sponsored by Royal Purple
2.Tim "Skrape" Katz – Automotive enthusiast, Vice President and Co-Founder of Authentic Brands Group LLC., TAPOUT LLC
3.Jeff Thisted – TV personality from Discovery Channel’s hit new show “Rods ‘N Wheels
4.Mark Fields – 2013 Show It Off at SEMA winner
5.Carrie Strange – 2013 Show It Off at SEMA winner, Co-Owner of Strange Motion Customs in Lewisburg, Tennessee

“It has been four years since Royal Purple started the contest, and we are continually amazed at the quality and scope of the entries we receive each year,” said Royal Purple Marketing Specialist, Marlena Solomon. “Selecting just one winner from the finalist field is always tough. Daniels’ Camaro will be in good company with the other feature vehicles the Las Vegas Convention Center at this year’s show.”

As part of the grand prize, Royal Purple will handle all SEMA feature vehicle fees and show registration for Daniels. Hewill also receive two SEMA Show credentials, five nights of hotel accommodations in Las Vegas, a variety of Royal Purple apparel to wear, and a seat at Royal Purple’s VIP dinner in Las Vegas.

The SEMA Show is a trade event for automotive industry professionals and is not open to the general public. As the world’s premier automotive specialty products trade show, the SEMA Show brings the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events and networking opportunities. In 2013, The SEMA Show drew more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers.

Disabled veteran with a 2002 camaro z28LS1 needs help

Sir/ma'am,
I am a Army retired permanently disabled vet with 22 yrs active duty. I completed 2 deployments with the last deployment delivering a severe spinal cord injury. I have issues with neck, shoulders, knees and lumbar area. I have a spinal cord stimulator transplant in my body which enables me to walk gingerly. I have what I call my dream car 2002 chevy z28 LS1. I always wanted a powerful sports car and i waited 24 yrs just to hit a roadblock .I am trying to see if the newer camaro's *have better access for persons with service connected injurys. In Afghanistan I had a tower stairs giveaway and I fell 10 feet on my back. I don't have money to go out and buy a new camaro because I am 100% permanently disabled and social security ( unable to work). I love the older muscle cars like the camaro i just wonder at what point did these cars become pains to get into. I imagine the 2010 and above have lumbar and better back support as well as easier entrance and exit. I have been trying to get assistance in finding mods to adjust my camaro to my disability and have had no luck. I have seen you do mods before on cars and bikes. Do you know any place that may give grants to modify disabled vets vehicles. I need help Kount! Please help this veteran.

Respectfully
Robert Guithues

Yikes - to each their own I guess....

Why go to all the trouble with a wide body and not even mold in the flares? Looks like they could be stuck on with 3M tape.

The white trim line looks wavey / uneven and doesn't follow the flare lines either - seems sloppy.

Phat rims though! Love the Black/Blue 2 toned as well - very nice paint. I couldn't imagine trying to clean all those knook and crannies!
