Cool LT5 95mm throttle body

So I'm getting my TB ported this week and I have an 87mm and an LT5 95mm TB and wanted to port the 95mm TB, I've looked at the adapter plate for the 95mm TB but I'm worried the airflow will be the same as the stock TB with the adapter, is that the case?

don't port it you are wasting your time and probably going to ruin throttle body....
the 95 does not have the nasty step in it that the stock one does and is plenty big. my understanding is that porting might be worth 1hp on this throttle body and I have read many stories of guys that cant get car to run right with ported version even if they got it from a reputable source...

I think there is something funky about this throttle body and our cars, I only have an emailed tune from dyno steve but when I get the dyno tune my throttle body and what it is doing is one of my main priorities.. to be clear my 95 is not ported...

as far as the adapter it flows 95 mm straight through, do you have stock manifold or msd.. with the stock you will have to open that snout up quite a bit to get full 95 mm there is not a lot of room for error on that as 95mm probably the most you could port that snout..

Are you saying you have issues with yours too not being ported biker? I have one I've been preparing to put on, but not if there are issues. Snout has to be ported ,and the bolt holes on the new throttle body need to be reamed out bigger is what I've heard needs to be done.

I don't think there is anything wrong..
but I am ocd and I've read where the timing is messed up at idle with these throttle bodies and they don't open all the way consistently, as well as people who have had issues with ported ones.. the guy who i will probably have tune my car said he was still trying to figure out one that he had in, it was from a member here from long island, and he was going back to stock..

so i THINK this is a valid mod especially considering what one costs, but i wouldn't be surprised if even stock these throttle bodies have some characteristics that need to be tuned for...

just my opinion, i could be wrong, but i have had several of the vendors here admit porting this throttle body probably isn't worth it..

ICT Billet adapter is wide open, no issues there. I wouldn't bother porting it, it is nice out of the box and will easily outperform any 87mm TB, ported or otherwise.

Thanks guys! if the hp gain was 1hp or even 3hp it wouldn't really be worth the cost of porting it. Most likely ill just leave it as is and get an adapter instead and save me the hassle of everything else.
