Star Trek fans only please.
You either love it or hate it. That's not a guess that is proven fact. If you hate it then stay out! That's a simple request...
I think the new movie is gonna be really good. I just saw the final trailer for it, and it got this lost fan back in the mood for some more star trek. What do you think. I was a little confused as to how they were going to do it, but it looks like they tied it into the entire series really well. Looks like a good change of pace as well, more action less talking. I have always been a fan of that. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0796366/ Am I the only one left in the world that watches this. If there is no posts in this I will take that as a Yes... The new movie doesn't look to have a love hate feel to it. More star wars esq (how do you spell this word lol- its kind of bugging me?).

This is actually the first movie in a long time that I am considering going to the theater to watch. The benifits of living in a small town. 3 dollars to watch the movie
No kidding, I got that same exact feeling when I saw him in the previews. |

So.. the Alternate Timeline quip was true.
"James T. Kirk was a great man; but that was another life.." Damn, now having been a trek fan for almost..half my damn life I can't help but look at this movie with a stare of someone who just saw a horrible train wreck, and is a fan of truly gory horror films. I don't want to like it, but at the same time I do. It's strange. |

Booooosted.

Kirk was a total stud. Riker was in the same mold. Janeway was a joke along with that Deep Space Nine dude. Picard grew on me and was a great character. I never watched Enterprise. I lost interest in it all years ago. But you can't deny the iconic nature of Star Trek. Cudos to Rodenbury or whatever his name is.
I just don't have the desire for another movie. I'm sure I'll watch it at some point just not look forward to it. |

I have always loved the old star trek..but I am not a "trekkie". I look forward to this new flick, and I hope it's not a letdown. BTW, the casting for Spock was dead-on looks-wise.
