FS or trade 2010 camaro tribute for 69 Z28 camaro
Well since i can't smog veteran1 in California with out having to change parts or remove what makes up the 750 hp at the crank I would be willing to trade for a 69 Z28 camaro or 69 pro touring camaro. Please pm me if you are interested. email Onehotroddude@aol.com

Isn't smog every five years? It might be easier to hunt around and see if there a 'friendly' smog guy that can help you out or just bolt on cats for the test.

The car is from florida. Out of state vehicle's are all checked out at the dmv by law enforcement. I would rather trade veteran 1 than change anything about the car. Sire I could trailer it. But why!

Yup....out of state cars have to pass at least a visual before CA reg...that means even headers can't come in.
On the 69.....You might want to try the nexty big auction like barret or mecum......but be prepared....straight 69 SS clones are going for $35K+ ...but you might be able to dump your car there. You have to have title though.....so you might be in a sticky place. |

I might have to do that. But traveling to get it registered will take some planning. I realy do love the 1 st generation camaro and there has to be someone that would love to have veteran1 in there garage. To trade for one dream car for and another would be nice.

Have you ever driven a 1G Camaro?
Comapared to a 5G camaro the - suspension sucks, - brakes suck, - interior comfort sucks (no ac or killer tunes or bluetooth) I restored probably 5 over the past 20 years and can say I have no desire whatsoever to drive a 1G when the 5G is there. An authentic 69 Z/28 you can't really drive anyway ... because of the scarcity of the 302 parts. A 69 without the original engine is worth half as much. The cooler ones now (that I like) are the 1 or 2G camaros....with LS3 power Vintage air Coilovers Wilwood Big Brakes all around. and Killer tunes... ....and thats a lot of work and = $65K car. I saw one at an auction where the guy had transplanted an entire 5G interior into a 69 (dash, console, seats, etc) .......he got it to fit really nice and it was very cool. But they still don't handle as well as the 5G. The 5G is wider and has IRS which gives it an edge. |

Then hit the auctions.....alot of cars get "privately" traded between folks...I know I've done it.
Here's a nice 1G from the scottsdale auction. Its a 68 but done right and went for WAAAAAAY too much money...that happens. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...ln=492&aid=466 |

Ya know.....
At the moment I am G1-less but everytime I go to sell one one on Ebay...and it does work....I get a lot of offers from folks with other cars to trade.....sometimes houses too....and boats and bikes. You may want to work this list ......Ebay 69 list...folks looking to sell. Just send em a message with a link to your car......some will consider some won't......but there are very few 69s here at Camaro5. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Tru...5&_sop=3&_sc=1 You meet a lot of cool people too with way too much money in their cars. Good Luck |
