I'm thinking the seats are similar to the stock seats. Slightly larger bolsters and suede inserts. It wont have those huge wings for your shoulders like last years Recaros.
...which I hated. Being taller they hunched my shoulders over. Maybe they left them out for that reason, check out the Focus RS seats by Recaro. No big wings on those either.

Yes they do. They are everything like the last generation Recaro seats, just positioned better, and more support...They feel "smaller", by a bit.

Maybe we're misunderstanding each other; before gen6 came out there wasn't a big difference between the overall gearing of the SS and 1LE - the 3.91:1 rear was there to compensate for the new transmission gearing:

gen5 SS vs gen5 1LE
1st - 10.38:1 vs 10.40:1
2nd - 7.14:1 vs 6.96:1
3rd - 4.93:1 vs 5.08:1
4th - 3.45:1 vs 3.91:1
5th - 2.90:1 vs 2.89:1
6th - 1.97:1 vs 1.96:1

2nd, 3rd and 4th are very different, and those are the ones you use the most at the track.

Mr. Wyndham, Thanks for a job nicely done. I appreciate you answering all the questions posted by everyone. It was interesting to hear that the new seats are a little tighter/snugger than the previous Recaros. I do have a question though, will the 1LE have rev-match? I read every post and GM media release and did not see it mentioned anywhere. Thanks

"EDIT: To all the folks thanking me for posting - you're welcome, but please thank Chevy and the Camaro team, as well. They invited representatives from the forum, among a mere 50 or so people (total) present for this preview. They truly to consider YOU, the enthusiast, an asset to their operation. And it was humbling to be there, to represent you, and I'm glad to be able to bring this information and answers to questions to our membership."

Chevrolet certainly picked right when they selected you for the preview Mr Wyndham. You are very courteous to others and articulate in your responses. Thank you.

Is the "track cooling package" on the 1LE actually any different than what's on the 1SS? I just see mention of trans, diff, and engine oil coolers, but those are already on the 1SS.

Thanks for this write-up!

Is the manual transmission the same model number as the current SS? I'm thinking that since it has new cooling, it must not be the same. How about the ratio's are the the same? Is it the same part number manual transmission as some other car in the Chevy lineup say the Z-51?

Power output has not changed, so it's likely exactly the same as what's in the 1SS. There's no mention of different gearing or any transmission changes. I'm interested to know if the trans cooler on the 1SS is actually different from the one the 1LE gets.

You'd be correct...the softer suspension of the 6Gen SS would be its weakness.

I really like the idea of the LT 1LE. An affordable option to tempt the younger or less affluent buyer and addict them for life. Also like the eLSD for the SS and can't wait to see it test against the GT350TP. This generation will belong to Chevy.

So, does the LT 1LE base mean its MSRP will be quoted in every 1LE SS magazine review? Similar to how the non track ready GT350's base MSRP is quoted during every TP and R review.

Well done team Camaro. Salute!

What are the odds of us seeing another trim of this car with a higher output, naturally aspirated engine? Not that there's anything wrong with the 1LE, so far everything I've seen about it impresses the hell out of me. It's gonna be one sick handling car. I just can't help but crave that level of handling, braking and balance with a little more power. The LT4 powered Camaro is gonna be a monster, I'm sure. It's just gonna weigh more being supercharged, and all that weight is gonna mostly be on the front end.

A 1LE exactly as they made it with a 500-520hp NA engine would be spectacular and a super fun track car.
