This is where I'm expecting the car to fall.

Which is still damn good.

I guess the 1LE was run on the shorter configuration. The Z/28 ran a 1.28.xx on Big Willow.

If It could beat the 5th Gen ZL1 around the track I would be amazed, I still love seeing the ZL1 doing well, almost keeping up with the brand new CTSV with 640hp. My guess is the 1LE will be a little bit slower than the current ZL1 around the track.

Maybe maybe not. But I have a feeling it will be close. This new platform isn't a joke!

I'm betting you are right. SS beats old 1LE, 1LE beats old ZL1, ZL1 beats old Z/28? (around a track). Seems like the plan Al's team had all along.

The LPO 6 piston Brembos aren't drilled, they're slotted. Slots tend to wear pads at a faster rate than clean rotors, but they're not prone to cracking like drilled rotors are. Slotted rotors are supposed to prevent glazing better than clean rotors though.

I posted earlier that I was curious if the gas mileage would go down but I forgot that the regular SS has the same 3.73 rear end so I bet it will be the same. Interesting that they didn't make any gearing changes.

If that's true I probably will be wishing I waited to get a 6th Gen ZL1 instead. Don't get me wrong I love my 5th Gen ZL1 and got a great deal, but you guy's are right this new platform is amazing.

It was never an option in the 5th Gen 1LE

This was my thought as well. I don't know if it will beat the 5th gen ZL1, but it will already give it a run for it's money in a straight line, it's not so far fetched that it will be right there with it on the track with the 1LE package.

Man, this is by far the fastest growing forum thread I've seen, possibly even quicker than the original 6th gen Camaro announcement last May. 20 pages of posts in roughly 12 hours.

I give up trying to read all this. I have a day job to tend to lol.

The new SS is geared perfectly. The gen5 1LE used an updated transmission from the Zxx cars, so a different diff ratio was required to make everything work.

No Recaro seat pics yet?!

Well, I blew up this shot, you can kinda see the seats...suede in the middle, leather on the sides. Different gray stripes, and what looks to be gray stitching. Bolsters are bigger too, can't see it in this pic, but there is suppose to be a metal trim piece towards the top too.

Also you can see the suede steering wheel, looks like suede trim on the armrest too.
