Engines are a type of motor, so technically we all already have motors.
Yep, I have to be that guy. I don't think "soon" is gonna be most people's definition of it.

The electric Lotus Evija concentrates the mass of the battery much like a mid engined car. It's better than a skateboard battery configuration since it reduces the polar moment. So, in a way you have a mid-engined EV.
