I believe fiberglass with realcarbon fiber overlay. I don't have full details yet. I don't believe it will be 100% carbon though.

I haven't seen it done so not 100% on everything that needs modded, but the main issue is the antenna that is mounted in the spoiler on the convertible.

So my antenna is not in the spoiler. It's mounted on the deck lid. (2017 model)

There is another one in the convertible wing (AM/FM). It also adds an additional mounting hole. When this wing is mounted you'd have an exposed hole in the trunk lid.

The shark fin is for XM and Onstar.

As I feared, the VHB tape failed and both winglets have come off. VHB tape doesn't do well in AZ heat. Unfortunately, I don't know where they came off at.

This confirms my fear of this design -- without something more solid than VHB tape to hold the winglets in place, they will eventually fail, especially in areas where it's > 100F out.

This is not a knock against JWM - just this specific design of wing. I'll be retiring it and putting the original spoiler back on when I have spare time.

Which version of tape is that? See if you can find the series number. I don't believe it was the tape we started sending with order correct?

How does your wing get installed on the uprights? I see most are glued on, which is not something i want to deal with.

There is couple version of 3M VHB tape and it does tape some time to "set" before it reaches maximum strength. That almost looks like double sides foam tape.

Mine had the same issue. I got this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

The tape started coming off so I pulled them off and ordered some Adhesion Promoter

So far so good. Is there a different tape I should have used. I just got the wings back on like two days ago. I was about to just rivet them on it this fails but maybe I just need different tape.
