Went to Cars & Coffee in Escondido, CA and met up with a handful of other Forum Members (nprario, Matt1LE, Clay_1SS and others), had a great time visiting with them, did a few hard pulls going to and coming from the event with a couple power slides... The turnout was a fair bit less than normal (at the entire event) but we heard there was another event in the general vicinity that may have been drawing people away... Still had a great time catching up with some "long time friends" (since I've owned my Camaro and discovered these events)... We've got a REALLY great group that regularly attends (at least a couple times a month) and it is always great to catch up (and a bunch of us are relatively new members of the "Camaro Club of San Diego"... If you are ever in the area, drop me a line and let's catch up! My car is a "Weekend fun car" but would love to meet up with other enthusiasts in the general area...

Golden Gate Region Porsche Club hosted an autocross event not too far from me. Had to check it out. Placed in the top three of my class (out of 21 cars registered in that class) and was the fastest non-Porsche overall at the event (12 non-Porsche cars)

I really wish there was something like that around here.

Took a cruise down the lake to some family south of me. No matter where I go with this car I get compliments constantly. I was stopped at two different lights on the way down and had people yelling over to me how nice the car was. This car/color combo just seems to really draw peoples eyes. I don't mind... I'm glad people enjoy it as much as I do... LOL

I thought the Camaro lettering was going to be in silver but the mats came with all red lettering.

There is! WI Camaro & IL Camaro clubs met at NicKey Performance on Saturday morning in northern IL, and we had over 60 cars in the show in Rockford IL.

There was also a cruise around Lake Butte des Morts in Oshkosh on Saturday. About 12-15 cars for that event.

Not to mention the Wisconsin Camaro Rally August 24-27 at Road America.

I painted my calipers this weekend, with a G2 kit. I originally painted them last week with their standard blue kit, but it turned out a weird periwinkle color. They quickly sent out a color-matching Riverside Blue kit, and it looks much better! I'll post better pics when I get the decals applied & out in the sun.

The original color first, then the current color.

Well then they need to get their site up to date because I didn't see anything for a Lake Butte des Morts cruise on it. If I look at their meet and greets it's still 2022. If I look at cruises it lists one for May 14th and May 20th. If I look at the Car shows it says... "It's cold outside!!!! Come back to this page as we start to gather our event list for 2022." The only thing they really seem to keep up to date is the Rally Info.

I used to get email notifications of upcoming events too from Wisconsin Camaro, don't get those anymore either. Northern IL is a bit far for me to want to go to a cars and coffee... (Over 3 hours)

Culvers here by me every Monday (weather pending) always used to close off the parking lot and do a cars and icecream night. They stopped that too...

They're obviously not good about updating the website. Events are mainly posted in the Facebook group Wisconsin Camaro. The lake cruise was kind of a last-minute thing.

Some people come down the night before the Rockford IL show & stay overnight. One guy came 6 hours.

Guess I didn't think about coming down the night before. This weekend wouldn't have worked anyway, but ya... that could be an option another time. Good idea!

That cruise around Lake Butte des Morts I do all the time. In the Camaro and on the Harley. It has some fun twisty roads to go on.

I thought about posting it here in the Great Lakes forum. I can start doing that as I see events come up.
