Tires are great, so glad to have traction again and less road noise.
I am planning to do the same soon. The GY F1 SC3s are great tires, but can be scary in the rain. I still got some thread left, but they are not going to last long. The MPS4S is the right choice, especially if you DD your car, with no difference in spirited driving compared to the SC3s.

- Install G-LOC racing pads (way thicker than OEM)

- Install racing wheels and tires / Apex 18” with Nankang AR-1 315F/335R
- Change oil (10 quarts) / filter
- Installed numbers
- Installed tow hook
I'm cornfused but wouldn't new brake pads be thicker than used OEM?

It’s not my daily, and it hibernates 6 months of year here in Cleveland. It’s never seen snow or road salt. But when it does come out for the spring, I still drive it like I stole it sometimes. Only 12k miles on it since I bought it new in April 2017, but traction and tread were both lacking.

Michelins are great and I wish I had put them on even sooner.

It's fairly common for race pads to have significantly more pad material on them. The OE Ferodo HP1000s don't have a ton of meat new. Based on cvp33's pics of the G-Loc's, I can see they're a lot thicker than the OE Ferodo pads.

Do thicker pads contribute to better stopping power?

I wouldn't assume so. I'd only assume prressure and pad material contribute to that. I'd assume they are thicker because tracking you'd go through them faster.

Snagged the TBM Front & Rear brake setup and solid bushing for all mounts and new motor mounts. Looking forward to sharing new videos.

I'm in a similar situation. Looking to put PS 4s on mine before putting her away this winter. Just hoping to catch them at an affordable price.

Is there such a thing? Tire rack had a rebate going on, that is about all I saw.

Agreed. The additional pad material means the pads will last longer on track. I can rip through a set of OEM pads in a 3 day track event. I suspect those G-Locs will have 1.5x to 2x life, maybe more.

Moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago. Finally getting settled after getting back from travel for work. I have a garage at new apartment which is awesome! However, I just found out that there is no where to wash car as they have no public hoses available. I could probably get away with washing car at a coin operated wash maybe twice a month. Obviously bring my own soap, bucket and microfibers. The rest of the time I will probably be going back to waterless wash, I think I have some ONR somewhere.

I have also had that ticking sound coming from my front driver side wheel under aggressive right turns. I re-torqued the lug nuts to 140ft lbs, two of them moved about a 1/4 turn. The tone of the clicking changed, I think my next step is to clean off the mating surface of the wheel and hub. I might be taking the car to the Tail of the Dragon on Thursday/Friday this week so I'm trying to get that fixed.

That is looking sweet, with zero shoulders to ensure maximum focus, like many of our mountain roads in TN
