If the government has the power to end muscle cars, which
They have, they will have the power to end gasoline so there
Goes your v8 and all the values. I suspect when people realize
This, the boomers will start dropping their muscle cars like
Hot potatos. Like the run on toilet paper in reverse.

well, the order guide is out and 1LS is gone and the 4 banger 2.0L turbo motor is gone and the 8-speed transmission is out as well, 1LS should have not existed and why GM should need my support, camaro is done for, as is

Gasoline is going to be around a long time. There are 300 million ish gas powered cars on the road today. We are building much less than a million electrics a year right now. Even if we built all our nations capacity in electric - around 16 million a year - it will take 20 years to replace the USA auto fleet. And even in 2035 we won't be at 16 million. Maybe 10 million.

So the way I look at it I will be able to buy gas for my Camaro for another 30 years. That is why I have one on order - so it will last as long as possible. If people are shortsighted enough to dump their 60's iron, then I will be happy to take a 69 firebird convertible off their hands for cheap!

The A8 has been gone since they switched to the A10 in 2019.

That's a big nope unfortunately, see the MY 2023 order book below, I4 cars still get it even in this current model year. You underestimated GM's propensity to milk every part, successful or not, until it's as dry as desert sand in July.

Yea, but the I4 is gone. So the trans is gone too.

For 2024. The previous poster said the A8 had been gone since 2019, which is what I responded to.

I wasn't thinking about the I4 (and also didn't know that!).

Does anyone know when the new Order Guide is coming out? I've seen a post about it, but it wasn't confirmed, so.... I need confirmation.

Follow the link above. All 145 pages are there, but it’s not “official” until June 15. However, I’ve been through the whole thing, and compared to ones from the past it sure looks genuine to me.
