CVP - I nor any other members in this thread need to justify the factual information we are giving you. Reading comprehension is not one of your strong points.

Hmmmm. I think we can all see how logical your argument is JG853. Sorry folks but you’re getting too emotional for me……feel like I’m trying to reason with my wife. Let’s try and stick to the facts here. But if you want to throw $150K into the worse performing car……well have at it. The ZR1 WILL BE FASTER at depreciating though.

Coming from a Camaro 2SS to a C8 Corvette, the Camaro 6gen is just more fun to drive. Faster isn't necessarily more fun.

Gotcha, I have no doubt the C8 chassis is superior in putting down power due to its rear bias. Funny, it actually makes it better at Drag Racing, your favorite pastime.

C8 Stingray is only good from a dig. The car is pretty much useless everywhere else. Even its quarter mile trap speeds are unimpressive because everything pretty much runs it down.

In spite of its supposedly superior mid engine, the car is straight trash. I'll run anyone on this forum stock for stock around a road course. ZL1 vs their C8 and I guarantee I'll beat their ass. Anybody!

Here you go:

- Mero himself stated it’s a better car
(Jim Mero said technology continues to make all cars better than the models before - For example the materials used in the interior)

- Quicker 0-60
(LMAO - 0-60 is absolutely meaningless and is a magazine benchmark). For as much racing as you claim to do, you should know this. Plus, everyone knows from a dig that the C8 with the weight over the rear and it's technological advancements in launch control should be excellent from a standing stop. That is an advantage of the ME/RE platform.

- Faster on a road course
(Not factual)

- Better chassis
(Better in some regards, worse in others)

- Better tech -
(Absolutely is an an advantage of the C8 (As well as every new model car).

- Better resale
(The C7 ZR1 is a 4 year old car. We have to wait to see how the C8 Z06 holds it's value. Production numbers are not on your side and the C7 ZR1 has sold for more money than any C8 Z06 Z07 on record to date).

- Full warranty
(LOL - Obviously a new car will have a warranty. But, that said, you have to keep it 6 months and can not resell a C8 Z06 before that time (used) or GM voids your warranty.)

None of the complete BS you write makes any sense. And I am a HUGE Corvette guy!

The dig is everything in drag racing. I’m not talking about the engine, I was referring to chassis’s ability to get the power down. I say this because it was mentioned that Camaros and Mustangs were preferred for drag racing.

As far as your desire to run anyone on the forum stock for stock, what would that prove? Maybe you’re a better driver!

The ZR1 is the absolute zenith of front engine Corvettes, it will always be valuable in that respect. My guess is that it’s future values will exceed the C8 Z06.

I like to drive my C7 way, way more then my ZL1. I like to look at my Camaro more then C7 though

I made my choice, kept the vette ! Do not regret it for a second.

Posted on this once before, more to the issue of the ZL1 vs ZL1 1LE but couldn’t stay out of this after some of the comments. FIRST; snarky put downs, no how misinformed you feel the other person is are just WRONG.
2nd: seems there are more mixed metaphors in this thread than I’ve encountered
In some time. Comparisons for any C7 Z06 vs C6 ZL1 (with/without 1LE) are fraught at best. I track my camaro regularly along with my friend and his C7 Z06. He is a better driver but only 2-3 seconds faster on a 3.1 mile course. Both cars are extremely powerful and capable on track. Unless you race your car, you will never push it to its real limits, so what’s better at the limit is probably irrelevant. Personally; I’d get what you like. Cost wise, a clean, used C7 Z06 can be had for less than I paid for my 2022 Camaro new. I love the look and feel of my Camaro, my friend loves the look and feel of his Z06. Neither of us would trade for the others car. Don’t buy on specs or reported performance, drive them both and go with the one that calls to you.
