Nice to have clients and or friends like that , we moved so my friend with an Auto shop is 1487 miles away now , so it's more than a 5 minute drive. Glad you got the leaks fixed.

Nice!
So much for not wanting to go too deep down the rabbit hole. Very nice progress you've made
I'm Interested to see how it does on the dyno once you get the tune dialed in. Makes me want to go headers and flex fuel. Keep it up!

Thanks everyone !!! I'm getting there I hope !
Here is a new carbon fiber radiator cover I got from octane motorsports. It's really nice and only took about 15 minutes to complete the install. Becareful when removing and replacing the hood latch device. It needs adjusted properly so the hood closes correctly. I put tape above the metal bracket, this gave me the factory line where to realign it at. |

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is much difference in the "Tune", other then enabling the "Flex Fuel" sensor, and adjust stoich AFR for alcohol % based on mix, and power enrichment for alcohol vs RPM. But I'll find out when I let Andrew know I added Flex Fuel.

Yeah, there's much more to it than that. Both for flex fuel and the AUX pump.

Another quick update: So, Andrew reviewing my latest data logs, still sees the fuel trims +20% higher than he expects. So, this is still indicative of an air leak post MAF. The first-round issues were related to the band clamps on the Big Gulp intake. I couldn't get them tight enough without snapping them. So, I went with a more heavy-duty band clamps and got that taken care of. Second-round of logging, he still saw fuel trims +20% higher than he expected for my tune. So, another test with my smoke leak detector and yep, the threaded hose barb on the big gulp was leaking. I removed it, added sealant to the threads and tightened it up and presto, no more leak! Then the 3rd round still showed fuel trims he's not expecting. He suggested could be the intake area where the supercharger is, could be valve covers or even the catch can. I checked all that, but didn't see any kind of issue. So, I decided to pressurized my exhaust system and bingo, leaks at every connection joint I had. I guess I over tightened the exhaust clamps so much that I accidently deformed the pipes at the connections. This caused big air leaks at both CAT connections to the X-Pipe, both are pre 02 sensor and AFR sensor. So, I dropped the exhaust, all excepts headers of course. Then I decided to pressurize the headers for leaks and I had NONE! I order a new “off-road” exhaust from Speed Engineering and will follow the 48 Ft-Lbs. torque specs I found yesterday. I had no clue the clamp bolts were not to be as tight as possible. I hope this is the last time I have the exhaust off my car!

Quick update! DSX Flex Fuel Kit is here, but not install. Also, below is what UPS just dropped off a package from CarbonAddons!!!! Very excited about this mod! Finally figured out what was causing my LTFT and STFT to be way higher than Andrew (CSP Racing) was expecting to see while tuning my car. He really stuck in there with me and kept pointing out where I might have a problem and suggestion on how to correct them. I came to find out the KaTech valve covers do not have the best PCV hoses connections and it was leaking vacuum at that connection on the passengers side. It's so far in the back and tuck up under neath the firewall arch, that it was hard to get to and hard to tell it was messed up. I hope I can close the chapter on my mod projects soon!!! Next, find a good reputable dyno here in Columbus or close to Columbus. I had one suggested to me, I just have to go check them out.
