I've yet to feel an earthquake here, but I've felt earthquakes in Buffalo, NY and Washington DC. They happen :-)

That being said, the STUPID dry weather does make a huge diff. in the temps. 115 is still 115, but I don't walk into my house feeling absolutely disgusting like I would anywhere else, basically.

To MightyBobo's point, dry heat is way more tolerable indeed. When talking about this, we should discuss perceived temperatures.

As bad as the heat/humidity is here in Dallas, not nearly as bad as in Houston. Probably the only place I've been to where I got out of the shower and felt dirtier than when I went in.
