Zoh6,
I like what the OP is trying to achieve and what you have achieved. Unless you’ve already listed it, would you mind sharing your mods that got you to 700 whp? I agree with many here that, that may be the “sweet spot” for us everyday drivers that want the flexibility to tear it up on the track, strip and streets. I’d be very happy with 700 as I really don’t have much interest in pushing mine to the absolute limits. Thanks to all for the awesome feedback… this has been a great thread..

Nothing short of a Mickey Thompson ET Street R would hook up. I had a lot of regret at that point because I didn't spend all my time at the drag strip and the car was a daily driver so I couldn't enjoy it on the street. When I bought the ZL1, I said I wouldn't make that mistake again.

I hate the idea of just adding HP to give myself a big number, as I think I'd probably go with a Hellcat if I was only concerned about big HP numbers. I want to make sure that I have enough tire/brakes for the boost in numbers, otherwise I'm just creating a tire shredding device. I hope that the 325s from a 1LE are at least a part of the discussion.
I have drag radials for the street and I also run welds with ET street Rs on street and track. They hook

If you use it on the street a lot, just running a bigger pulley for lower boost. Run the small “kill” pulley on track days. Or use a boost controller on the bypass like Crawford sells, or use a product like Smoothboost to let you make boost level changes on the fly like the Crawford setup but using an electronic bypass instead of the vacuum one.

Of course, do as I say, and not as I do… I don’t do any of that stuff and have to drive like grandma on the street so I don’t spin if it’s under 80 degrees out…

That's nice. I didn't know they had a boost controller for these cars. I'll check that out.

Yeah looks like Crawford offers a modified vacuum bypass that allows you to add a boost controller. But the Smoothboost one looks perfect, honestly. I’ll probably give that a try this spring.

Edit: here it is

No blower port, no pulley. Would of likely already made a 9 second pass if life didn't get in the way.

You don't need a cam or larger supercharger to run 9's with these cars. Add blower port, pulley, fuel system, and 9's should be doable in average air.
Thanks King, Yeah the car as it sits will run a 9 in this cooler weather. I should be back at the track this month in some 60 degree 0 DA weather to go run the 9 as it sits!

How does your set up do heatwise with the 9.17 and afco Heat exchanger? Drag car, roll race, road course? Any info would be great

See JRE superstreet brawler package.

That's no aux pumps, aux tanks, or meth just plain old reliable OEM intercooler system.

You would have to tone down the boost to get down to 700 on E.
Have you tested FIC +30 injectors and LPE HPFP on a stock cam car?

Or you could save money and simply limit torque by gear in the TCM tune. Set the torque per gear so that the throttle is limited until whatever gear the tires will finally hold full throttle. It works...GM did this by default on stock ZL1's and it can be adjusted. CSP did a video on it a couple years ago with his TreeL1 that was 800+whp.
