Looks like the c8 has the GM 2650 and using port injection boost disrict superchargers knocking it out makes sense since gm reliability and setup w port and fueltech fueling.
Fuel control is only 1 hurdle to overcome. The next issue is trans and torque management... The C8 is eating up the clutches. My guess is if you could tune the TCM then the stock clutches would go further. Dodson stage1 clutches are 5k then 2k for axles. That is good for supposedly 800wtq but Emilia has already burnt a set of those up in her turbo C8. Changing clutches isn't exactly a walk in the park either. You pretty much drop the entire rear cradle with the engine. So you are probably looking at 15-20k just to make 650-700whp somewhat reliably on the C8 buy the time you pay for the 2650, piggy back controller, dodson clutches, and axles...then labor for install and tuning. Then you might as well pull the engine apart and put some drop in pistons if going through all that trouble.

I really don’t see anyone replacing clutches and needing a converter unless your going past 900wheel in a ZL1 that is.

You can’t compare the c8 to a Camaro in
This regard. The c8 with a 2650 won’t be anywhere near that power yet it will need axles and clutches. And good luck keeping the clutches from not constantly burning up.

There’s still no way to tune it.

Clutch pack is only 4300.00 people were pay 2000 plus for all carbon clutch from slayer and 3k from rps. It's a vette things cost more. Still cheaper than a lambo with underground racing turbo kit. I bet people do it.

C7 doesn't need a 3k RPS for 700whp....stock clutch will handle that. Even then a Monster LT1 works well for up to 1k whp and is half the cost. The drive line on 6th gen Camaro and C7 stuff is good for about 800whp for the most part. 6th gen axles might need upgraded on the SS or lower models if trying to 60ft hard. C8 needs clutches and axles for anything over 600...big difference.

Either way Upgraded clutches for the C8 isn't a guarantee that they won't burn up again because they are trying to work around the stock trans tune which is a band-aid.

I agree people will still do it...People do stupid shit every day. Not saying this is stupid but more informed people might make different decisions.

If it had full tuning support through the ECU/TCM then it's a helluva package. Until then I am sticking with platforms that have tuning support for the factory controllers if I want to mod. But to each is own.

As a side note...I easily whacked Austin and Johnny boy in a 4 way shootout, but of course I had to let Ashley win...then I woke up...
