I am also concerned about drone and also what are differences in volumes between stealth sport and track...

I pretty much drive around in track all the time but if this is significantly louder I would wan to know if I could quiet it down.

I am assuming there will be some power gains as well...

my plan is to do cat back and then wait for a high flow cat that goes in stock location that doesn't throw a code...
I hear our exhaust manifolds are excellent and the real hold up is the primary cats..
It’s on the car but I need to make some adjustments. I think it settled during my 10 minute drive. I’m still going to do a full write up once i get a chance to drive it more, but I’ll share my initial thoughts.

I used an app to measure decibels. I’m not sure if it’s correct, but it’s a reference for measuring if the BBE is louder. Stock was 78 decibels from 3-4ft away. BB is 99 decibels. The valves don’t seem to make much difference but I haven’t measured decibels closed yet. I am having a hard time noticing much difference from inside the car (valves open vs closed). I think I’m getting some drone, but I haven’t cruised over 55 mph yet. It sounds good with the windows down, but I was limited due to rain. The stock rasp is gone, but it’s still too early to have a substantiated opinion. I need to adjust fitment a little bit and wait for good weather.

The mufflers seem to rattle like something is loose inside. . I have checked clearance everywhere and placed rags in the tight places to ensure no contact anywhere. The noise comes from the mufflers between 1.5k and 2k rpms. I’m pretty bummed. Will need to see if BB wants me to try troubleshooting but I don’t foresee this resolving without different mufflers or a different vendor.

Damn, sorry to hear that. It could very well be the butterfly valves tapping inside the muffler from the vibration.

I thought of that actually, so I pressed on them with a screwdriver end. I applied pressure just to hold them still, if there was play. Maybe it’s in the mechanism for the valves. Idk, but not something I can live with.

Sorry to hear.
For that price you shouldn't have to live with anything, needs to work problem free.
Hope you can get this resolved with BB.......

Keep us posted and inform BB that they potentially have 10+ future orders riding on the correction of this issue.

I can confirm about the rattle on the billy boat system as well. I got my system installed about 2 weeks ago, but after crawling underneath it and banging on things my rattle seems to be coming from the AFM valves since I have the A8. The craftsmanship and sound are exceptional, but the rattle really bums me out. Any negatives if I cut the AFM valves out?

Ugh. For $2k there should be no rattle. I paid with CC, so if no correction is made, my last resort is to open a dispute. I’m not going to settle for rattling exhaust.

Do you notice any difference in sound when using NPP function? So far, it seems like a gimmick. I’m going to measure decibels today. I’ll be surprised if there’s any difference.

I measured decibel levels and there is no difference. Open and closed are both 97 decibels from 4 feet away. Sounds the same but now I have a measurement to confirm.

I think I’m just going to discuss options for sending this back. I could live with the NPP valves being a gimmick, but it also sounds bad with the rattle. Will keep you guys posted.
