That is a whole lot of damn. I highlight my most favorite parts.

Chevy now has another engine in the mix. With nothing Camaro related to reveal for 2020 and beyond, it leaves reason to be optimistic and another thing for Ford to fret as they contemplate their GT500

Larger blower was expected and now confirmed.

LT5 Camaro ZL1 Bound? Camaro gets full-blown Corvette engines now.

I think not. There are significant differences in styling between a Malibu and a Camaro.

True, I also find it crazy that people think the fusion and mustang look a like.

Brands actually try very hard to build a styling theme that makes them instantly recognisable across all models. So, it is no surprise that some styling elements whether it's the shape of the grills, headlights, etc. have a family resemblance. Malibu kinda looking like a Camaro or a fusion kinda looking like a mustang? Duh, of course!

Ford should have tried a little harder. That's my point, but whatever.

Have both a 2016 Camaro SS and a Camaro ZL1 as our only cars each. And, pursuant to your comment, they'd each not be qualified in pairs as only cars as neither isn't a Camaro.

All have been on road courses, car shows, road trips, in the rain, sleet, snow, dirt roads, to the grocery store for errands, for track days all my jacks, stands, tools, etc.. the dog has been in some.. They're perfectly capable cars. I even had both the 2010 Camaro and the 2012 Corvette on dirt roads to my cousin's deer camp... You can do it, just have to pay attention.

You can make do just fine as an only car... It's a Camaro for f*ck's sake, not a Koenigsegg Agera RS.

That's a lot of words to not make any point.

I mean I drive my S2000 all winter, but I'm not dumb enough to park it at the airport all week long. I take my Outback to the mountains when I want to ski because I realize my Camaro isn't the best option.

Then, there's Enterprise... Between them and Lyft I could live my entire life without even owning a vehicle, or rent one better suited to the occasion; which is why you haven't really made any point at all.

But you do you man, it's whatever. We all make our choices.

I think his point is pretty clear that you can use the car as a daily driver. Not everyone can accommodate or afford a second or third vehicle but still are enthusiasts who don't want to drive boring grocery getters. Also, uber and lyft don't work so well for those of us who have long commutes to work.

My Camaro is not my daily driver and it only comes out of the garage on nice, sunny days, but again not everyone can do that.

Some perspective, aimed at a lot of people here and those who write the magazines.

I am a 40yo dad of twin 9-year-olds. I pick up my kids every day from school, along with 2 booksacks, trumpet, PE bags, and usually my laptop and briefcase.

I drive a 2017 2SS with MRC, NPP, etc.

I also go to 3-4 track events per year. Time trials, lapping day, and instructing (I'm a PCA and NASA instructor).

I never have one complaint about my car in doing any of those things. When I pull up in the school pickup line, I get some positive comment on my car usually 1 day a week on average. When I'm at the track, the Vette, Shelby, exotic car, etc. owners can't believe that this "cheap" car is so fast.

Both kids love riding in it. "Who needs a TV in the car when we have WiFi, Dad?" Almost every morning, my kids ask, "Who is bringing us to school?" When I answer, "Mom", most times they don't say anything, but sometimes it's "Awww - we're gonna be late. Can you take us? You get there quicker and it's more fun!"

I take my Camaro fishing. It'll easily carry a half-dozen rod-n-reels, tackle, duffle bag, and whatever else I need to bring. Only thing it won't do is tow the boat (that's OK, though - it's on a lift at the camp). I take it on 500-mile road trips for work. It rides great, and is fun when I get where I'm going.

I guess my point is - this car does everything, and does it well. It's a family sedan when it needs to be. It's a people hauler. It's a school bus. It's a daily commuter. And, it's a track monster.

All for $50k.

Oh, one other thing. There's a reason that I watch sports like football, basketball, and auto racing (Rolex and F1). Because there's a scoring metric and a winner/loser.

I don't watch "sports" like ice skating or gymnastics. Those are decided by judges.

Why bring this up? Because trying to rank a car by exterior/interior "styling" is like ice skating. You might hate it, and I might love it. There's no measurement to be had.

Magazines should just say, "If you like it, give it a 10. If not, give it something lower." They should report only measurable facts.

That would make for pretty boring reviews if all they measured was the stats. So I take it you don't like customer reviews of anything, movie reviews, restaurant reviews etc etc LOL

You have to admit, he has a point...judging certain subjective categories like styling is a slippery slope. I very rarely agree with movie ratings...and most customer reviews contain some manner of misunderstanding or assumption (good and bad).

I, personally, attempt to look for reviews of more objective stuff like performance figures, specs, and ignore the rest. My own opinion can fill in "the rest".
