Unfortunately.

I would say that’s probably a safe bet to make.

Although, the new Jeep Gladiator (who came up with that name??!?) is available in a manual AND has a manual 4x2 -> 4x4 lever.

(I only know because I’m a Jeep guy as well.)

I too got manual for the fun factor, plus to me a muscle car screams manual. At least the old school classics do to me so I said why not with this one. I do know it’s a whole different world driving this vs the manual trucks I was use to/learned on.

Sometimes I miss driving the ole 13-speed.

1->4, L->H, 5-8 (w/overdrive split on 5-8) plus Reverse.

1, 2, 3, 4, Beer button, 5d, 5O, 6d, 6O......8d, 8O (d-direct, O-Overdrive)

OH, and don’t forget to double-clutch. Up AND down, no synchros.

Ahhh, those were the days.

I wouldn't say I'm very good at it, but the way I like to explain it is:

If there were an axe murderer chasing me, and all I had to get away was a manual car, I would get away. May not be very pretty, but it'd happen.

Just catching up on the different posts on this forum... makes me wonder your, and anyone else's take, on those who take a stock 50th Edition, and change the wheels, change the tail lights, change the side markers, (or doesn't have the decals on it from the factory, which is odd but anyway)... is it still a 50th Anny Edition?

And by that token, someone takes a stock 2017 2SS, and modifies it to have all the RPO items that make up a FIFTY... the wheels, decals, badges, door sills, console lid... (building their own H50) basically doing what Chevy did, slap other stuff on it and call it an 'Edition'... what about that person. Are they any different than the stock FIFTY that's had things changed on it?

Just wondering folks take on these scenarios...

Still a 50th Anniversary Edition when you do the changes you mentioned. No different than when a Hot Wheels owner does the same. Those are so little on the scale of mods. Plus a lot of people put the oem wheels up to keep from messing them up. I’m looking at getting a different set for that reason. Doesn’t change a ZL1 or 1LE when change the wheels/lights. Still a ZL1 or 1LE. As well as GM encourages to make it yours. Yes I know it gets them some money but they have accessory options for a reason.

When you debadge and repaint or wrap it is when I feel it’s not the same anymore. But that’s my feelings.

As for the reverse. Not a true 50th or Hot Wheels. Is a clone. And to get all the RPO options would have to do an interior swap too. But they made it their ride and if they are happy with it so be it. I may not agree with the clones when they “market it” as an original, but it happens. I know the Hot Wheels people take the clones a lot more serious than we do though.

I remember seeing yours at Fest a couple years ago and like what you’ve done with yours though. Hyper Blue was my original choice before I saw the 50th package.

I speak for myself only.

I feel like if your full interior has orange stitching and your exterior is NightFall Gray Metallic. You have a 50th Anniversary Edition.
