How does the car shift? Notice any decrease in performance. But yes, get it done. 70k? Where the F do you drive that thing? Not that you abuse your car at the track as often as I do but I change mine every 6 months. Everytime time it comes out looking brand new but it's peace of mine. $250 is better than the $7k when I cook the trans!

Agreed.

And yes the tranny is doing something funny. I noticed it a year or so ago. Showed it to Chris and we kinda figure it may be normal. It's never gotten worse so I think it's normal. But I do want to change it.

you can do a repeat drain and refill. basically, you drain as much of the fluid as you can, then fill up with an equal amount, drive for 100-200 miles or so, then drain a little more, then repeat a couple more times.

It would be better than nothing. But might be just as well having it all done at once. Depends on the percentage of fluid I can get out on my own. AND how hard it is to drain the pan.

The easiest and only way to get the fluid out is to hook it up and pump the new fluid in. You can drain the pan as much as you want but the converter and cooler will never empty. As 90% of the lines won't either. Just have a shop knock it out.

There is an aftermarket filter that had a larger intake opening which allows more fluid to enter. May not be a bad idea.

Agreed. I'll do the diff and oil and have the tranny done at Bruces in Indy on Wed.

no, the $100 says in addition to the spectator pass, you get to drag/autox. so just $100 for everything.
