Probably the tires like everybody says , all my other cars especially when new you could hardly feel bumps there’s a lot of bad roads where I live. When I drove my Camaro around the first time I figured this car isn’t made for comfort. When the RF wear out I’m getting regular tires

It is a rough riding car....Period!

I've done away with the RFs a long time ago and this Camaro does ride rough. It rides rougher than my old 96 SN95 GT with worn out suspension. I can't remember if my other Camaro/Firebirds rode this rough BUT I was a lot younger then.

I disagree. Go test drive a Focus RS or ST or Fiesta ST or Z51 Vette. Those I consider rough riding. The SS is just firm like a sports car should be. But unlike my Focus ST, it’s not harsh and doesn’t beat me up.

Recently flew out east to get my car and drive it back almost 2K miles. I thought it was incredibly comfortable for what it is. The Recaro seats play a big part in that I'm guessing.

My ZL1 is very comfortable once I'm in the seat but getting in requires sitting down with my back to the seat and swinging my legs around and getting out requires finding the best seat exit position and using your left hand on the rocker panel to support your exit, and the driving position requires a bunch of trial and error to find the best, so...

You definitely 'fall into' the ZL1 more than get in.

I recently purchased a 2020 2SS Camaro Convertible and have THE exact same issues.

I also own a 1968 and a 1971 and they both ride better than the 2020.

I will look into better tires this spring as it won't be driven in WI much longer.

It just does not seem normal to me that a 2020 with 31,000 miles drives like it does. I am kinda shocked at how well most say it drives.

I have a Dodge Challenger that also drives better.

When I test drove it the dealership had brand new roads all the way around so I didn't notice it until I drove home in the rain which was a nightmare. I will look a the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 Summer most are mentioning but I still am having a hard time believing it is all tire related.

I have owned sports cars all my life and have never experienced this before.

As mentioned in other threads, several of us ditched the run-flats for traditional tires. I only had 2500 miles when I changed the run-flats to Continental Extreme Contact all-season... big improvement on my end. Not as nice as magnetic ride control, but still notably better than the run-flats.

Can magnetic ride control be added?

It was an option for this year but I do not believe it was installed based on my research.

No, unfortunately it can’t be installed afterward.

I have lived with the RF abominations for a little over 7k miles, intending to at least get 20k out of them but life is just too short. They were bad enough to begin with but after two summers of AZ heat they are noticeably worse.

Normally a Michelin guy for OEM tire replacement but I can't justify $60 a tire and less tread life so I am looking at the Conti DWO 06's as an early X-mas/Birthday present to myself.

I can hear and feel every single bump, crack, dip, and slit on the road; even just cruising at speed on the highway.
So it was fine, until your old lady started bitching about it "non-stop" every time she got in it.

I think I figured out why you are suddenly feeling every ant you run over.

This is an old post that someone resurrected, but I'll add my 2 cents: The Camaro is designed to offer feedback from the road to the driver, in ways that most cars don't or can't. You'll naturally feel road undulations, etc., coming through the steering wheel and suspension. It shouldn't be harsh or uncomfortable; but I don't have experience with the run flats. I have a '21 ZL1 that is totally acceptable riding. I will say that after I have driven the wife's Volvo SUV or the '22 Supra 3.0, and haven't driven the ZL1 in a few days, getting back in the ZL1 I notice how much more feedback comes through the steering wheel and how I feel more road imperfections and undulations.

Replacing factory run flats with non run flat summer tires gave better road feel and ride. Like going from a tire that didn't work well to a great tire. Made the car much better.
