It certainly would explain the reason that Al Oppenheiser was reassigned to lead GM’s electric vehicle program... the development of an electric Camaro.

If this is true... Shaking my f'ken head...

Ford's building 700+ horsepower Mustangs, while Chevy and GM fold...

This will go out as the Mustang's final victory over the Camaro...

Nope ...Demons are gone with a total of 3300 they are now redeyes, things change, the Tesla now out there but should be faltering.....it's due to have a electric sports car mainstream kick its butt.....

Sales would be like amazing most likely, imagine the COPO electric Camaro just a daily driver...sure the system now can be retro fit into our fifth gen and its would be a weight loss..something I have considered. Eventually mankind will sour with emissions as liberals and progressives hammer the end of the world with free everything for all and no borders eventually we will bite the big one maybe even have a uncivil war...

Lord knows here in Oregon our Governor represents only the bubble babies and is a steaming pile who has a real lead deficiency. That's why some of us had to surround our capitol...……. Carbon like it kills every thing we as life forms are based on it.... Sure lots of pollution is bad but we are damn clean here not so with China or India who have so many more people we are a tiny population compared to them. So we have to lead the world into cleaner living but are not doing well, we should be venting all our coal plants under ground to just turn into harmless carbon...sequestering …….

Not killing them off as Obama tried, and sure we can kill all the birds with giant windmills or invest in spendy solar that's not really efficient as they force people in California to do which is stupid...… and it never really even pays for its costs and especially in colder weather states.....

And yes development of alternative energy is the future but not forced down our throats as with the 20-20 carbon credit scheme to tax us to death that just died here with Oregonians not wanting to be stupid and unviable like Californians.. Stupid ugly Priuses are everywhere and Taxis..... So the Future is where your vision is, many years down the line people may be looking to retro fit a electric COPO Camaro engine in our fifth gens for a mere 700 hp..

And that's all good but not really the same as a lumbering Cam and all yet, with the massive amount of eco unfriendly crap forced on us by ECO warriors and their Stupidity we have to fight back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They force the trees not to be harvested and made into wood products here forcing communities to be poor and have no real money from harvesting so they can burn due to over growth in massive forest fires as kids have no money for better schools or government no cops or fire dept's...etc that's the reality here...…… That and Canadian lumber.

They also do not let new refineries be built or new nuclear and by god they are so politically correct they force Socialism which is communism to be force fed to our kids by teachers who just want more power and more money like big government lovers. Me I will just cling to my guns and religion …….. You see you can seek the truth out, or you can be a sheep. Me I have worked most my life for various government agencies, and a disabled infantry vet, and imagine this..I joined the Army long ago to Possibly fight Iran..... Yup even wore a FUQ Iraq t-shirt, but the truth in the world is something you can only bury your head like a friggin ostrich underground so much then it bites you in the ass...….

So maybe just maybe Camaro will be the one sports car to come out swinging in the future from a major change....well for one I hope they use second gen styling cues and don't get all stupid futuristic...………. OR CLEFT PALLETTE STUPID...……… Gm may just be able to see around the corner to feed smellenials what they want to eat.....as they sure have a buffet of crap coming at them!

Here’s my two cents worth. Ford and Dodge wouldn’t be where they are if it wasn’t for Corvette / Camaros and vise versa. Competition is what drives them for more power and handling.

GM is just a step ahead of them. Now, if I say this please don’t blast me with hate mails. Well here it goes. Z/28 will be discontinued for a while but they will come up with a new platform. New platform will be all electronic, hp don’t know, but torque will be “out the ass” and will do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds.

I know most of you don’t want to hear this but v8 is a dying breed. V8 will and always be around but only for a smaller customer base. While electric will increase as technology get better at the same time price will be lower. Look at vinyl player, 8-track, cassette player, CD player, and now streaming music.

Ford and Dodge will keep building v8, keep making profits, and bam , the new Z/28 E will appear kicking their ass in 0-60, 1/4 miles, handing, top speed, and now all the queer youngsters will want one.

This is my theory, my prediction, my intuition, and my two cents worth.

I mentioned it would prolly come back all electric a few pages ago. Pretty easy to predict. Just look at ford is doing and you'll see chevy's plan in response.

They built a great car. I just wish they'd take the lead for once instead of following.

After having it since the mid-90's, I gave away my high-end rack system about 5 years ago, which included dual turntables, mixer, pre-amp, amp, equalizer, dual cassette deck, CD player and tower speakers.
I'm kicking myself, because this year I bought a turntable and a pair of active studio monitors.

The upside is that I didn't give away my crates of over 100 LP's.

I still have all my ‘old’ stuff ... what’s old is new again ;o),

Have 100s of 50s-90s LPs (‘long playing’ albums) and some 45s...

Good stuff too ;o)

This is very true, unfortunately. The v8 is a perfected powerplant that, unfortunately, has few fans. Hopefully it won't go away altogether. I feel that the engine design should be incorporated into whatever future energy source that will develop for cars and trucks.
