I'm with you, M6 all the way.

I have this idea that if I wanted the fastest race car, I wouldn't buy any kind of street legal Camaro. The only lap times I care about are against myself, and even if I *was* comparing myself to other drivers at a track day, the manual/auto difference is substantially less important than the driver mod.

If I could wave a magic wand to make my 1LE perfect, it would mostly involve making traffic signals possible to see without slouching down . And perhaps a front parking camera if I get to wave the wand again.

/and loctite from the factory on the front endlinks...

^^This ..great list, especially the first 4 items

I would also add:

6) A GM flash option that can disable the MRC all together for those who want to get GM Performance ZL1 1LE Multimatic suspension
7) Recaros with Pass thrus

Car is just perfect otherwise

Perfect for me would be an additional 100 hp wwith a naturally aspirated engine. Screw blower motors , no place on road course. This car being lighter than a ZL1 and more able to put power down would be AWESOME! The only issue at the track is cars pulling it down a lengthy straight. AN additional 100 hp would take care of that.

So I guess syncro's, hill assist, rev limiter, etc all need to go because then the 1LE isn't a pure car anymore with those nannies/assist features?

As stated, rev match is default off. Just don't use it. I don't get why it's offensive to at least offer it.

Ill make things realistic cause a bunch of people are just blurting out crazy shit. I say to make the 1LE just about perfect would be to drop at least 500lbs, keep it all motor and give it about 100 more hp to the wheel, lighter wheels and tires, upgraded brake pads and lighter weight rotors. That's about it to make it a hardcore weapon. I cant ggarentee that setup would be just about all it takes to take out almost any other car out there.

I can heel-and-toe. That is what this car is all about. Rev match is a joke.

I take it you use rev match?

Good grief! You use hill assist? Can't you hold your car in gear on a hill without it? Another skill lost. :(

Price to performance is already outstanding. I'm not complaining about the price.

Chevy should sell an optional 1LE alcantara interior upgrade package for dash insert, pads on driver/passenger door, pads on center console. white stitching.

That would make the Camaro lighter than any C7 and just about all the C6's, putting it on par with the lightest C6Z's.
Thanks for keeping it real.

Continuing this theme it would be pretty nice to have an option for a leather/alcantara wrapped dashboard like a GT3.

Sure the player can hit the ball harder for more home runs but it kinda takes the fun out of the game for me. Now, of course the roided our player can outperform most natural players, but I appreciate the guy who prefers to do everything by his own merits. This analogy translates over to drag or track racing. With an auto, sure an auto can win the race more than likely, but there are just too many variables taken out to determine who the better driver really is..
I really hope you don’t repeat dumb shit like this out loud in public.
