You don't have to cut it, mine's still intact.

Besides, if you had to put it back on, you could just get another clamp (albeit a different one).

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. It is our goal to ensure that Roto-fab customers are 100% satisfied with every aspect of the product. On our cars, we have used a hose clamp similar to the ones in your hardware kit when reverting to stock. This allows you to use the OEM plastic tube on either intake.

I do plan on talking to the owner of the company about other possible solutions, but he has been away from the shop for a few days.

Thanks for your feedback,
Michael

That different clamp thing wouldn't work for me or maybe others.

Short story, when I had my 5th Gen.....LOL

Had a service manager tell me, seems like you remove the airbox a lot huh?
I said, who me??? He said, look at the wear on the nuts!!!!

That's how far some dealers go, pricks!!

The air box will not void the warranty as long as you don't tune it. 28 year Chevy dealership employee here.....

UPDATE:

I installed mine last night and did not need to cut the clip. It is actually pretty easy to leave it in tacked and reusable. All I did was take a small flat head screw driver that fit into the clip from bottom right to to left and the twist. It spreads the clamp open just enough that you can pull the tube out. Need a decent grip but it will come out. As you can see in the pictures it did not alter the shape of the clap and you really cant tell it was screwed with. Everything else about the kit is AWESOME and will thought out. I must say it was the best packed shipping box ever.

That is absolutely not true.

Maybe not at your dealership and many others or in your years of experience but as far as GM corporate is concerned it absolutely voids the drivetrain warranty. Not something I would have much concern over though as it is rare for obvious reasons.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if Autozone etc had a plastic vacuum tube the same diameter of this one on their wall and would work just fine. Some of you guys are just complicating things right now instead of adapting making it work while we wait for Roto Fab to hopefully come through and supply it in the kit.

Some dealers are more mod friendly than others. They can basically void your warranty to any modification if they really desire...
