Question: Is there any way to be sure that someone will not buy up 50 tickets for example to increase their odds 50x? I've never done a raffle before, so is there really a fair 1 in 1000 chance?

As a side note their website is horrible! I'd love to pitch them a new website build. Would you be able to put me in touch with someone who could make such a decision? I do cheap and good web work.

You're free to buy as many tickets as you like, up until they run out.

So they have to sell $80,100 dollars worth of tickets to win a $50,000 dollar car? and if you only sell $80,000 worth of tickets they only win $40,000
or did I miss something? Last edited by RonnieSVT; 02-06-2017 at 01:25 AM. |

Firstly, they are selling 1,000 tickets at $100 each. So that's $100,000.
You aren't selling the tickets, you're a potential buyer of a ticket, or many tickets. This is a fund raising raffle. They make $100,000 in ticket sales, they pay out a max of $50,000 for the car. That means they make $50,000 for charity. Raflfing off prizes has been going on forever. This is nothing new, nor shady. That's not to say there are no shady raffles, this just isn't one of those. |

It states if they only sell 801 tickets that's $80,100 AND they give winner a $40,000 prize
I see they donate two $250 scholarships and over 130 jackets every year...... The Woodhaven Brownstown Rotary Club's mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. Every year our club through its local projects, delivers over 130 warm coats to local children, hosts a fieldtrip for special needs children, donates two scholarships to Woodhaven High School seniors, and much more. They have sold 801 so far. They will keep selling til they sell 1,000, or the draw date hits.

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go for this or not, but then I saw the drawing will take place on the same day I'm gonna get married! Would be one helluva wedding gift for my future wife if I win!

What browser are you guys using to do this in? I've tried IE11 and Chrome and the website is terrible is both.
Edit: Also, under phone number it has (3) fields labeled "Untitled". Any idea what these are for? Last edited by mxair2001; 02-06-2017 at 11:04 AM. Reason: because |
