Probably tough to do a back to back dyno when you have to go to the dealer for a re-flash in between.

It's a reusable filter.

I mentioned in my earlier post, but it doesn't appear like an oiled filter to me. If it is it's unlike any K&N filter I've owned, and there was ZERO excess oil anywhere. I could be wrong though if someone has better info.

Yeah, I was just going by what I saw posted in one of these GM intake posts. They said it was an oiled filter. Of course it wouldn't be the first time info was wrong.

I hear ya! And I didn't dissect it to be certain, so I could be wrong too!

But if it's not an oiled filter, it's still reusable. Brush and vacuum it off, wash it out with water from the inside out, and let it dry.

Ordered Mine Today

Success...Finally!
It was a serious hassle to find a parts guy that could even care or dig enough to find out definitive answers about the flash and if the GM cold air was available for a 2016 2SS. Some sites showed 2017. Some 2016-2017. Some said NO its only for the 2017....

Most of the time it was leaving Un-returned voice mails or forgotten follow up so I could be sure I'm ordering one that verifies my vin and the Flash from GM.

I stumbled across Tom at crate engine depot . com

Tom methodically and patiently research and verified every detail.

Even called me back to confirm my vin and go the extra mile to be absolutely sure that I would not end up at the dealer only to discover my vin was not a match.

Tom Ran my vin# and even e mailed me docs to support that the CAI is indeed a match for my ride.

I am in no way affiliated with Tom or the dealership.

Just wanted to pass along a wonderful experience and a man eager to assist with whatever question you may have on this purchase.

Thank You Tom You Rock Sir!

I found a dealership that didn't want to charge me for the tune and had it done today. The car seems to run smoother and the throttle seems more responsive as well. Of course this could be all in my head....
