On 19" or 20" wheels? I run 285's on a 19" wheel so would be curious of the measurements if that's your setup. Does it look like it sits any lower than before the install?

If you measure from the center of the wheel to the highest part of the fender arch opening, that will show comparable ride height regardless of tire size.

I purchased all of the components of the kit separately less the springs and obviously the re-calibration. I also got the rear control arms and the strut tower brace. I actually ordered all of the hardware prior to learning of this lack of ability to re-program a 2016. I started the install today. I also had to finish putting together a QuickJack so only got the front done. I was so close to ordering the full kit. When I pieced it all out without the springs, it was only $650 with the tower brace. I figured if it was lacking, I could add the rest later. Guess I got lucky.....

Ha.... that remains to be seen. Other than taking off the back tires, I haven't even looked at the rear yet, so maybe not. If I don't do it, it probably won't happen unless I can get it to Houston or Dallas. No one around here is trustworty.

Which bushings and what cradle?

I have the strut tops for the front in my kit but no bushings?

He is referring to the rear control arms I purchased in addition to the sway bars and control links that come in the kit....

Update, they finally finished my car! It took them until 6:00 PM on the final day to get everything wrapped up but they did.

Apparently, they have to get a "BCI" code from GM corporate before they can flash the suspension controller. The guy was telling me that they have to provide a reason for the re-flash. Which I don't get. They sell the suspension upgrade package that includes the re-flash, why would you need to provide a reason?

Whatever, its done and it drives like it should have from day 1. You can actually apply the loud peddle exiting a turn with some anger and it just squats down and goes. Before if you did that it was spin followed by traction control intervention. When I'm just driving it doesn't feel much different. Its not until you start trying to apply some of the power that you really start to notice the difference. But it is night and day when trying to go fast.

I'll try to get new measurements and post a before and after comparison table in the next few days. The holiday is cutting intro my free time, dame rabbit!

Quoted $760 to do full install, reflash of shocks and an alignment. Told me it would take an entire weekday. Next month!

What are you running for wheels and tires? I am wondering how the upgrade would behave on the stock 2SS wheels and tires.

Thanks.

I was all stock 2SS until this upgrade. I have just over 2,000 miles on her and still running stock rims and tires.

The car has a lot less body roll. It just squats down and goes.

I'm waiting a couple days before I take after measurements. I want to let the car settle if its going to.

You might ask if they have ever done this upgrade before. They told me 1 day and it took all of 3 days to get it back. They said they had 14 hours labor in it. I told them now that your guy is trained I'll bet he does it in 7 hours next time.

I'm just saying because they were supremely confident until 3/4 of the way through the 1st day. Then the truth came out that it was their first time doing this upgrade and they wanted to take their time and get it right, which part of me appreciated.

I had to tell their guy to make sure and grease the new rear control arm bushing otherwise it would squeak like hell. He thanked me for the tip. I thought any mechanic should know that but whatever.

Yeah it would be their first install of the kit so I do appreciate them contacting GM to get the procedure known but you're right, who knows what the tech will do first time out. Unfortunately, to keep warranty, I don't have a choice.

I really wanted to do this originally but decided to pass, at least for now. It would just be wasted money (and added weight) since I've got drag radials on in back.
