I'm not sure why, but it seems like this color is one of the more rare ones to see. Even when I do a search there are no SS's nearby for sale with it. There's one about 3 1/2 hours away but that's the closest with the M6.
When I order mine next month I'm pretty sure I'm getting this color but I'm not sure I can get over my complex for black cars. The fact that it seems to be one of the more scarce colors makes me like it even more though. Ohhhh the decisions... |

My local dealer has an SS and it's Blue Velvet, stopped by yesterday and looked at it. The color looked good, it's very dark, you can tell it's metallic the closer to it you get and could easily appear as black in low light. The stock 5 spokes look good on it. Probably isn't my first color choice, but if you want something dark and not just black, this is a good option.

From the 2017 order guide it appears Blue Velvet is being dropped.
This could end up being a fairly rare color.
