I appreciate the input guys.. I enjoy seeing how others are finding their way to purchasing the car. Either buying it outright, or saving for half.. Or to some, buying their dream car after 50-60 years of being alive. I'm enjoying seeing the different walks.

Another hidden agenda of mine was to also see who here was pulling the trigger and buying their dream and at hat age... When do you sit there and go, "**** it. I'm doing it"... Regardless of some of the financial situations (income in this thread)..


I also don't condone buying a car if you are in debt, or will need that money for other things!

I think even a person from an obscure rain forest tribe that had never heard of telephones could probably figure out that the typical Camaro buyer isn't making $400K per year. No decent salesman, no matter what the field, could be this ignorant. So I maintain my initial assertion that this was a tacky attempt to brag about yourself.

50k or so car. Income is about 20,000-22,000k pre taxes. (Graduate student)

Taking about 18 months to save up a down payment of 20k...at month 9.
