The issue that people forget is that while the ZL1 was easier to make handle well, the '13 and '14 GT500 also was just as capable but was not as easy to drive hard.
Thus people took "the ZL1 out handles the GT500" when it's generally a false narrative. That being said there is NO real information on the next GT500. The only hint of it was when Jamal said during the GT350 reveal that the S550 "had good bones". |

Since the new ZL1 or Z28 will probably be announced the first of next year sometime, I'm still thinking it will be called a Z28 with the LT4. Probably with 6 piston front brakes and 4 piston in the rear. Exciting times ahead!!

I want to see metallic orange since they already have the color on the Vette. LS7 in Z28 and LT4 in ZL1. Let's get the ZL1 rear diff in all cars. My seats in my 97 Z28 are more comfortable than standard seats. Two piece driveshaft sucks; go to one piece 4 in. Why not use upper and lower front control arms instead of strut? Won't add much weight if aluminum is used. Better alignment capability.

I would like to see the 9.9inch rear end, ability to handle mods as well as the 5th gen ZL1. The fact that the 5th Gen can handle around 700-800rwhp on the stock rear end and clutch is amazing.
I think this goes without saying but more hp and less weight. Carbon Fiber wheels would be amazing, similar to the ones on the GT350R. The next generation of MRC would be also be nice.

what oldjedi said and seat option for standard SS seat and recaro as an alternate option. Not everyones butts are under 5'10" 160 lb butts. ps oldjedi my wifes 67 is just like yours only a white stinger. Had it built with an LS2. She doesn't let me drive it. I don't let her drive my Turbo S guess that's fair.
