I don't see its dimensions. Does it have a 6" opening? I've got 200 mesh wire over my BM now.

Wish they described how big the base opening is…might actually fit the BG if it’s 6”. The pic isn’t good enough to tell if there’s a worm gear clamp on the end either. Guess I don’t know enough about the GT500 setup.

Edit: JSH beat me to the punch lol

It is indeed 6”. The whipple intake tube that comes with that blower is 155mm od. After further research, I found a reply about the filter from Whipple themselves.

With that kind of suction, as a practical matter, there's no need to clamp it to the intake because that baby's not going anywhere, particularly as tight as the RF is against the body panel.

On the other hand, I guess it doesn't matter if you're using a bellmouth because it won't fit

I may have found an upgrade. You can order this maf housing with the race filter. Swap out the RotoFab maf housing for this filter/housing combo.

This should work but my concern is, would a thin filter survive

It’s basically the metal screen of the filter without the actual filter media inside it. I would think with it being less restrictive it would hold up even better. Its design by doing a little research was mainly for the Hellcat and 5.0 3.8 whipple kits. The maf housing is also 1/4 larger in diameter than the RotoFab for the ZL1. 4 3/4 vs 4 1/2.

I just ordered it so we'll see shortly

I'm looking for the best way to join the bellmouth and inlet; both are 6" id/od? I haven't found a rubber cable clamp type of clamp

Silicone tubing and two worm clamps. Something like this.

This may work. Have used this company multiple times. Could cut it down right to where the hump is to shorten it up.

I don't believe a silicon coupler or hose will work because I only have 1" on the inlet neck and 1" on the neck of the BM to use. They don't sell them that short but I suppose I could cut it.

A hose clamp or a T-bolt clamp would work if I can find one that's at least 1" wide to grab both pieces. 2" wide would be better.
