Nope... Anyway, i've burned through 3 sets.... The Gen 2's so far are holding up. Ive snaked my camera down 2 times since they've been on. No Damage (yet).

They aren't melting from heat btw, they are simply getting blown inwards.

If you can believe it... the car seems almost quieter with the 2" ARH Headers & Long System, High Flow Cats and Borla S-Type. Start up in Stealth mode is ridiculously quiet, which will be nice for early AM cold starts. Starting the ZL1 with the previous set-up: Stock cats & Borla Atak Cat Back was much louder than it is now. TBH I never tried it in stealth mode before though so I cannot give a 100% accurate comparison.

The only thing I wish I had done differently is going with a bigger cam. I miss the chop. The drivability is wonderful though, nice and smooth, quiet when she needs to be but if you lay into her... she screams.

Roads are cold and tires are not sticky enough to give an accurate description of how much power she has. Once I really get to test her out, I'll let you know. I can say that it is a blast to drive and just nice to have my ZL1 back in general.
ZLVA1N, any updates on your build? How do you like the setup? I'm bringing my ZL1 1LE to Katech next week for a very similar build, anything you'd do differently?

Sorry for the late response....

The car runs amazingly well, no regrets at all. The only thing I would do differently is go with a bigger cam, I went with the more "mild" cam and going a little more aggressive would be my only change. Be ready to put some 305/45/17's on the car if you want any traction.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated! I did ask for the max effort cam (really want that aggressive chop). What tire and wheel combo did you go with? I've been looking for some advice here but am struggling a bit. Mines a 1LE so has 325/30/19s on the rear 305/30/19 up front, so hard to find similar outside dimensions with smaller wheels.

Thanks again.

Another one..... I would have gone completely catless exhaust except for the mufflers. I have 19 x 10 - 305/30/19 up front and the then the rears are 305/45/17 on a 17x10.

Awesome, thank you for the info sir. In terms of exhaust that's exactly what I'm doing, 2" headers from American Racing, rad pipes instead of cats and 3" back to factory npp muffler. I have the cats and can throw them on later should I decide to go that route. Who's the manufacturer of the wheels? Are you running nittos?

Yup, Nitto 555R2 on the 17's & then I have PS4S's on my 19" BC Forged wheels 10x19 front / 12x19 rear. I had some Forgeline GS1R Beadlocks built for my ZL1 but there were some fitment issues so we I am in the process of getting new ones built.

When are you dropping yoir car off at Katech?

Thanks again for all information, very helpful!

I drop it off on Friday the 15th, I'm driving it out there from western PA then catching a flight back to Pit.

I have the PS4S's on right now all the way around and even at 650 I struggle with grip. The Goodyears were just too soft and the thought of them throwing rocks all over my car was too much for me.

Katech just finished my ZL1 1LE

Tune and Dyno next week and she'll be heading home. Max effort CAM and catless exhaust, sounds great!

Looks great! That Katech package is the dream build for my 2018 ZLE.

Main purpose of the car for me is road course events, so I'm disappointed Katech doesn't have an off the shelf track worthy option for fueling that solves the high G starvation issues under 1/2 tank. This would not be hard and shouldn't require a fuel cell... something like a Fore dual Walbro 450 pump hanger with separate fuel pickups running to each side of the tank. A Holley Hydramat setup could work. Katech has tons of world class racing experience, they need to step up and provide a solution for these cars.

You could not have made a better choice than KaTech

This thing is an absolute beast, picked it up yesterday from MI to drive it back to PA. I had a permanent smile for the first hour of the drive. It base dyno'd at 541 wheel, made 861 after the stage 5 upgrade. Granted the roads were cold but I could easily haze the tires at 100mph, with traction control on! She now demands respect!

The max effort cam is absurd, feels like a knarly beast now!
