Obtained a screw in my tire the other day. Went to the local Goodyear store that repaired it at no charge. Never lost pressure so no damage other than the hole, thankfully.

F1FTY HERTZ

Decided to put some audio components I had in my 5th gen into the car this weekend. The factory system still works as it did before except that the X3 connector was pulled from the amp which got rid of that fake exhaust sound which sounds horrible through the subs. Also the turn signal sound is gone and seemingly the door ajar beeping which is fantastic!

The first photo shows how I layed out the trunk. The Hertz HDP4 amp fit perfectly in the styrofoam like it was made for it. Saved lots of potential headaches. It powers the tweeters in the second photo. I fed the wired through the holes under the child restraint covers through the trunk. No modification needed! They help a little although the change is very subtle.

The third pic show the subs which are powered separately with a Marathon 1000W sub amp. (That's a Fifty pin between the subs) Both amps get their signal from the front so I can fade in the stock rear or just run with the front as shown in photo 4. Ideally I will be able to tune the amps so all I need to do is adjust the factory tone settings to get acceptable sound.

Now I have a 13 speaker system! Overall it's not bad and was definitely worth the effort. I still have the Hertz 6.5 Mid drivers sin the box that I'm thinking of a use for.

Must be nice to be able to use the trunk. Cool setup!

I honestly can't really complain about that. I the drop top.

They patched it? I was under the impression run flats can't be patched.

Yup. That was my thought as well but when I talked to the tech he explained that under certain conditions it is possible. Single puncture, not near the side and fairly straight in. They did tell me that the performance rating is a bit lower now.
Glad it was patchable. Wasn't yet ready for new tires.

Good info to know. Thanks!

And don't blame you. I don't like these tires but I'm not ready to put new ones on yet either.

Thanks. Not sure what kind of space you have but I can imagine you'd need to get a little creative to get a decent setup Ana vert.

good morning to all, just curious what all season tires are recommended during the winter season to replace "summer only" tires.

I had the Continental Extreme Contact DWS on my last Camaro and will be putting those on once I wear out the tread on these.
