Were they able to swap out your heat extractor before leaving?

No, that foam was a PITA. I’m still considering just ordering one. Bought like $800 worth of interior carbon fiber & thinking of pulling the trigger on a Borla system & I put a new gaming laptop on pre-order a couple weeks ago… I need to slow down the hemorrhage for a little bit.

Ahh, yeah my drive home was around 80 miles. Car I had picked up before that was almost 600 miles away.

The tinkering car projects are always the best.

Haven’t ordered one yet. I absolutely enjoyed the S-Type on my SS for the ~1month I got to enjoy it. I’ll probably go that route again.

The tinkering car projects are always the best.

I looked within a 500 mile radius & this was the closest & they gave me a pretty good deal, so I went for it.

There was one down in IL I was strongly considering but it was almost 400 miles away & I really loathe going to IL.

I have to keep up stock appearances which is why I went with a plain exterior on the TB to begin with. Not going any farther with mods that infringe on the new warranty.

This on a bone stock car that is spec'd to have 455/455 at the crank, not the rear wheels?

I installed a super nice and comfortable Alcantara center console lid (replaced the rock hard OEM leather one). Got it from kropscamaro16 on here Goes nicely with the rest of the Alcantara in the ZL1.

Changed Diff fluid after 15,000 miles and 5 track days.


It was CLEAN, like don't bother kind of clean.
But with track days i like to keep up on maintenance.




Why does the dealer charge $250 for a diff fluid change? Took me 10 minutes.

if i do my oil change at the same time i think they charge me around $200 or so and i bring my own oil but now i have my race seat in i dont trust the dealership at all...

I put the Soler Throttle Controller on my SS 1LE when I still lived in San Diego (sea level) and absolutely loved it. I used CF6 as my setting which is supposed to be pretty close to linear throttle actuation. Then I moved to Colorado (~6600ft elevation) and added the Soler Throttle Body (91mm eff). Soler recommends CF5 I think on the TC for a linear feel with their TB. I have actually since gone back to leaving the TC on the OE setting as I feel like I can naturally get better/smoother shifts during regular around town driving without having to think about it. But, I love the flexibility that the TC provides, being able to turn it up or down as I please based on how much I feel like playing. I will likely continue to put them in future cars as well.
